The Crucible is part of the district approved curriculum and she was merely doing her job. Most of her students are people trying to get their high school diploma. She never imagined that she would have a student who would take witchcraft aspect of the play and have a psychotic break because of it. Not to mention that this moron totally missed the point of the play...had he read it, he'd see that what occurred in it could not possibly have anything to do with believing in witchcraft. That would be like teaching the Holocaust and being accused of being a Nazi. What an ass.
