I just got a forward today called "Why Dogs Hate Halloween" with a bunch of awesome dog costume pics. My two favorites were a group of ghosts and the three-headed dog from the Harry Potter books (I initially thought he was Cerberus, but then noticed the Harry Potter kid next to him).

Terrorist cat is awesome and totally easy to make at home...

The dog being eaten by alligator from yesterday is still by far the best.

Oh man, these are so awesome.
Yesterday I found myself wondering what we're going to talk about once the election is over. I endorse kitties in costumes!

my dog won't let you put a costume on - he starts pawing it off immediately.

what's the secret?

@9. If you really want your dog to wear a costume, you should introduce it to him early, and gradually. First, just put it next to him and give him treats/praise. Then, lay it on top of him, with more treats/praise. Then put it on him and more treats/praise when he leaves it alone. He basically needs to think that whenever that costume is near him he gets whatever makes him happy...

That being said, some dogs just will never put up with that stuff. Mine does okay, but only if the costume is relatively innocuous...
