Counting on non-gay, non-super liberal people to stand up for gays is a lost cause. This ad should be paid for by "People Who Don't Really Like Gay Marriage But Will Vote Against 8 Anyway." The goal of this campaign isn't to make people think that it's ok to be a homo, it's to beat the amendment. The end.

They don't actually sanction the joining, but if people live together long enough, they're considered as 'common-law' married. And get the same benefits as sanctioned married people.

I totally believe that the appearance of their name negates all the good of the rest of the ad. At the very least, it leaves the target audience wondering what the hell that "HOMOtracker" thing was about, instead of leaving them thinking about everything they saw before it. That's Bad Ad 101.
