Um…

I like a comfortable hotel as much as the next guy…

…but this ad for Extended Stay Hotels doesn’t exactly make me wanna book a room in one of their stank-ass hotels. Via Sullivan.

It would have been better if the chick with the candles had been enveloped in a huge ball of flame and run screaming out of her room, flesh dripping and smoking...

Gross. Dear Ad Guys: You missed the mark.

I agree. I don't want to stay there. People fart there! In the beds and showers and chairs! And they encourage it! It's a selling point of the hotel! Ew!

Have you seen this brand of hotel? There is a reason the one's here are in Kent and Federal Way; think about it and you will totally understand why this marketing will work. Think of the market who would stay in Kent, Federal Way, or Spokane.

It would have been better if there were some sounds mixed in to the audio in an Oh so subtle way!

I prefer their commercials where the pretty girl licks everything in the room.

Hotels/Motels are crawling with germs and bacteria...The comforters and blankets do NOT get washed very often. And people will do extremely gross shit in a hotel room, that they would never think of doing at home.

Wellp, it got you to play their ad, Dan. And without even having to pay for traffic or placement or ANYTHING!

I've now been impressioned with the branding and phrasing of "EXTENDED STAY"

Seems like a success to me....
...or are you fucking stupid about this stuff?

Dan doesn't like it cause the ad involves things coming out of someones ass and not going in.

Also, the music? Verdi's "Strida la vampa" from Il Trovatore, about a woman being dragged by a mob to be burned at the stake. Has a nice, homey feel, don't it?

I seriously can't believe there are people who still think dick and fart jokes are funny.

Shoulda paid Bill Gates & Jerry Seinfeld to appear as passionate gay lovers in room 212.

>12 Fart jokes will always be funny. And continue to be past adolescence because they are not ageist, racist, sexist, classist, etc.

Fart jokes will be funny into perpetuity, but an ad extolling the virtues of farting in a semi-public living space - the place you live in when you're a step away from homelessness - definitely misses the mark. Eww.

Eek, I stayed in an Extended Stay Hotel in Philadelphia last year. I was booked for 2 nights through Hotwire - both nights cost me less than 1 night anywhere else would have. I checked out after 1 night and stayed with a friend in NJ. It was a skeevy, creepy place.
