This one’s from Pottsville, Pennsylvania. Thanks for the heads-up, Sullivan.

I've been to Pottsville several times.

What's weird is that the entire region is populated by poor, working class people who have been completely disenfranchised by the mining industry which unapologetically raped their environment, communities and infrastructure. You'd think they would be hungry for relief, but I guess they're too full on God to make room.

Aretha Franklin's vintage appearance is an M.I.L.F. which is a trashy description that would demean her. M.I.L.F. is usually reserved for hot middle aged white women. Low class acts call these women M.I.L.F. Is it racist? Maybe we can call them B.I.L.F. Bailee (aka Ethical Child who) I'd like to fuck. Show some RESPECT.

Ever think that we should test some of our nuclear weapons on certian parts of the United States? I'd start with Pottsville....

Anytime someone starts a sentence with "I don't want to sound racist" you're about to hear some astonishingly racist shit.

The thing that's most frightening about these videos is the kids spouting off the same racist/ignorant shit as the adults.

Sheesh. This is the worst one yet.

Welcome to Pennsylvania, kids.

At least I know my vote (for Obama) is really needed here.

I am starting to think some parts of America aren't that American afterall.

I want to point out 1 thing. When asked if they will support Obama, many say "he's not going to be my president".

And how many of us, TO THIS DAY, say the same thing about Bush? I don't think that phrase is racist, nor do I think calling him a baby killer is racist. They would call any democrat with a solid pro-choice record that, and they wouldn't support any liberal president.

my 2 cents. But yes, the rest of that video is racist and ridiculous.

Wow.

It's scary to think about what's going to happen on election day.

Jesus Christ. Let's look at what's really happening here: The right is now mounting loud, raucous protests, just like the left has been doing for eight years. "That's when you know you're the minority." I wish I could remember who said that, but I'm hungover.

The best part was the old fat guy who just said "Barack. Hussein. Obama."

I was in Pottsville for the weekend once and thought I was going to get lynched as a gay white kid. We all escaped early when we were certain that the town was coming after us. This doesn't suprise me at all. I also saw a tractor there with a "whites only" sticker on it.

Is it too much to ask of our educational system to teach critical thinking? As in, making one capable, when told, "Obama is a terrorist," to ask, "How so - who/what is the source?"
These pathetic idiots spew this garbage without questioning where it came from. Perhaps their racism blinds them to reason, and their bullshit just supports their narrow views.

I wonder how these people would answer to the 'my country, right or wrong' or 'america, love it or leave it' stuff those on the right are always leaning on when it comes to an obama presidency.

at this point, counter-protesting at a mccain rally is pointless & is going to get someone killed. let them have their hatefest. they know they're worst nightmares are coming true. you're not changing minds by provoking them, you're hardening hearts & cementing resentments.

Did one of those folks make a death threat? And is he being investigated? Counter protests will at least ensure a couple of these ignorant angry douchebags gets locked up for felony assault and doesn't vote.

I don't disagree these people are horrible. Having said that, I don't see African American canidates being judged by some of the black racists who support them. In a political race which had a black man running against a man of hispanic decent a supporter of the former had a campaign sign that called the later a "wetback". Nikki Tinker, running against a Jew, had leaders of the "black church" who supported her pass out flyers that said "Cohen and the Jews hate Jesus". She refused to condemn them.
And then there is Cynthea McKKKinney whose campaign manager (and daddy) was hollering loudly about how those big bad Jews cost her the election. Why aren't AA canidates judged by some of the ignorant racist AA's who support them? Guess it's part of the priveledge of being white.

Cato the Younger Younger @4: Ever think that we should test some of our nuclear weapons on certian parts of the United States? I'd start with Pottsville....

Ha-ha-ha. So the reaction to "bomb Obama" coming from a few crackpot crackers in Pottsville is "bomb Pottsville." Well, what I notice from that encounter is all the pro-Obama demonstrators who had the courage to show up and peacefully show their support.

There are a lot of good, patriotic, non-racist people in Pottville and Schuylkill County (Pottsville is the county seat). Obama has a campaign office in downtown Pottsville, and local folks have been coming out to volunteer.

FYI. This is not the first time Pottsville has attracted attention in this presidential campaign.

Jane Doe @19, if you're going to bring up the Steve Cohen-Nikki Tinker race in Tennessee in this context, why don't you at least give the full context? Obama forcefully denounced Tinker's race-baiting, borderline-anti-Semitic attacks. And the predominantly black district ended up rejecting Tinker.

Oh, wait. I think I get it now. If you actually told the whole truth, it might contradict the pathetic, little point you were trying to make. Or do you think everyone reading this is stupid?

maybe if Obama wins there will be a mass exodus of all these horrible people and American can actually heal and grow as a liberal, tolerant country. in my wildest dreams!

Screaming, yelling, calling each other names, rude gestures, it's all okay by me. But when these nut cases pull out their 2nd Amendment metal throwers and start dropping people, then the Fed will have to crack some poor white trash heads.

Wait, which one is post-industrial pennsyltucky and which one is cutesy main line suburb?

Pottsville/Pottstown? that's confusing... i know one of the two places is a fairly moderate kind of town.
