Those girls aren't attractive. They look like west virginians.

This is the post-feminist age. Women are empowered to be just as insensitive, boorish and piggish as pre-feminist men.

The world needs another feminist blog like the world needs more women in the workplace.

Seeing as how it is a direct copy of the Girls Say YES to Boys who Say NO poster against the draft, (from the fonts down to the small text at the bottom to the way the girls are crossing their legs/ankles), I don't see how there is a kerfluffle about this at all.

Jezebel is already Maxim for women, except occasionally not as stupid. It's not a feminist web site. It has an audience of young savvy left women who go for the pictures of celebrities and their babies and to talk about their sex lives. That's feminism?

Thank you, Julie, for the historical context.

As for the "Maxim for women" thing: I, for one, wouldn't mind a little mancandy every now and then. I'm a married woman, for Pete's sake, and I gotta take what I can get. I just hope they don't get all hipster-y and have droopy guys in skinny jeans and saggy tighty-whities posing as mancandy. Bleh.

What a horrible, worthless blog @3. It doesn't look like anyone actually reads it.

Speaking of feminism, KZOK sent me this concert calendar that has a date for Zepparella, an all-female Led Zeppelin tribute band playing at the Tractor.

I could be the greatest thing ever...

This is one of those rare occassions when JB is correct.

The rest of the time he's insane.

The original 1960's poster is a really great photo, and a well designed poster. This one had very little though put into the creation if it. It loses a lot of power because of that.

I always thought that Elizabeth Spiers was over rated. This proves it.
