posted by on October 7 at 10:10 AM

Don’t forget about our liveblogging of the debate, which you shouldn’t miss. But for those looking to watch round two of McCain v. Obama at a public party, here’s the list. Among the places playing host:

35th Street Bistro; BottleNeck Lounge; Cafe Presse; Central Cinema (hosted by the 37th District Democrats); Moe Bar; Second Life; SOLO; Spitfire; and Twilight Exit.

Yes, Second Life.

The full list, with addresses, start times, drink specials, and wireless info if provided, is in the jump.

(Your party not mentioned? Send me an email with the party info and I’ll add it to the list if it’s worthy.)

And here’s the full list:

I’VE SEEN DEAD PEOPLE.

I got there early to the same McCain party last week to watch the Veep debate. Sorry, but we scooted out before the debate, it was the saddest collection of reprobates, sequined flag blouses, old douchebags and self-hating minorities I have ever seen.

I did manage to get a photo of myself with a cardboard cutout of John McCain though.

It was nice seeing you at the door. Really, you should have stayed. It was like getting fucked in the ass with no lube.

Poe, you would miss out on horrible bar service, hearing "liar" repeated throughout the debate and the possibility of another XXLarge McCain Palin shirt, or perhaps even a bumper sticker? And seriously, who needs internet access anyway?

All of those perks were lovely. I'm already reconsidering.

The Twilight's been a lot of fun for the last few events, but it gets crowded. I can't stress that "get there early" point enough. If you show up at 6:15 and complain about not being able to find a chair, well, fuck you. But thanks for coming anyway!

Mr. Poe/Mikki

You make it sound so appealing. Now I am regretting my judgement.
