Sports The Most Important Football Game Ever

onThe election might be decided on Monday night.
According to football lore, if the Washington Redskins win on the eve of an election, the incumbent party holds on to the White House. The ‘Skins election mojo has only been off the mark once since 1948.
On Monday night, the 6-2 Redskins go head to head with the 5-2 Pittsburgh Steelers.
Obama—who was endorsed by Steelers owner Dan Rooney in April—and Gramps will be interviewed on ESPN at halftime. Maybe Tony Kornheiser will ask Obama about his fantasy team.
Now, I’d never suggest that anyone should ever root for the Steelers. But, just this once, it might be OK.

With a limitless field of meaningless predictors, some will be true multiple times? Wow!
Football is still boring (and expensive to taxpayers) as fuck. Keep it in the P-I!
Wow. That's asking a lot.
But, for my country, I'll do it. I won't have to like it, but ...
I'll do it.
Palin's a Steelers fan, too, when she's not sucking up to some other team (like ours).
Ugh, don't encourage Pittsburgh. 538 was on the mark today that if somehow Obama accidentally insulted the Steelers he would lose PA.
Never!!
Eagles are in town, cheer for them! Philly's massive turn out will determine this election.
I think that's exaggeration, @4 - but only slight. They do love the Steelers in Western PA, but the city of Pittsburgh is overwhelmingly Democratic, and routinely vote Democratic for local and national offices (state offices can go either way fro some reason).
What is wrong with you dickheads? The Seahawks are playing this weekend, and that should be your focus. By some divine providence (i.e., the NFC West sucks), we are, at 2-5, still in the playoff hunt.
Also, the Skins have Jim Zorn. Go them.
Even the Stranger and its crack team of journalists can't resist another opportunity to eat another helping of sour grapes. Aren't you Sealice fans full?
The other day on one of the sports-blather stations here, they were talking about the "self-neutering" of Seneca Wallace (how he won't take off and run with it).
Maybe it's not Seneca's fault -- it's the city's. There's something about it that wants to make one de-nut themselves.
That off time was 4 years ago and look what happened. Worst predictor ever.
Where is my Terrible Towel?
i'm in Pittsburgh right now, and Steel Blitz for Barack is pretty awesome.

Go Steelers!
Fuck no. I'm not rooting for the Stealers even if some people think it will help some magical campaign voodoo.
