Not surprised by the short term rise in home sales. But it won't last.

Nothing on DC Metro starting random bag searches on public transit? Maybe King County Metro should start that? You know, another step towards totalitarian rule!

@ 1 - it sounds like the guy who died was the guy who had the van and the station wagon filed with junk in the parking lot underneath the building.

But Microsoft has tools and platforms (Visual Studio, .NET Framework, Silverlight, IIS, ASP.NET etc) to develop cloud computing and services which Google doesn't have.

I know MS bashing is hip, but it isn't always accurate.

Ugh. Because of those "computer errors" I have volunteered to canvas for GOTV on Saturday. I was on the fence about canvassing, but I'm so pissed that I wanna be out there telling people in person that their vote counts and not to be deterred.

@15: All of those products you listed are fighting for marketshare in hotly contested markets.

The *development* of cloud computing isn't what the coming boom is about. It's the marketing/selling of it to consumers, and the best MS has on that front right now is Mesh, which is decent, but ultimately a losing strategy.

All Creatures Great And Small? Jesus. I remember when mom and dad would watch that. I wish that there was a clip of how that series began: James Herriot with his entire arm up the ass (?) of a cow. I think that was the last day I wanted to be a vet.
