Sigh. Another Stranger piece predicating doom because Obama dares to consider who might be on his team if he wins. Democrats will never be winners until they can stop being such absolute fucking pussies about everything.

Does this mean that his conscience is developing some Joementum finally? Or is that hoping from too much?

As distatseful as having Lieberman in his cabinet would be if that gives us the 60th Senator I'm all for it. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

Jinx? How about good planning? It's hardly a jinx to, you know, plan for a possible administration. It's responsible.

Joe McCain is very sorry that his outrageously inane use of valuable resources has hurt his brother's campaign. Not, you know, for what he actually did.

I guess he dropped out of the campaign so that he could continue to call 911 and complain about things.

Ah, Joe Lieberman. America's only senator from the Bandwagon Party.

Nasty accident last night on Broadway near Pike/Pine. Some initial reports that it involved a bike but SPD says car vs. pedestrian. Don't know status of victim.

If that Marxist was intellectually honest, he'd choose Hanoi Jane Fonda to be Secretary of State.

I'd still love to slap that bitch silly for what she did to our troops!

Because of the importance of the upcoming election there should be increased coverage of the ongoing repots of electronic voting malfuntions, often in the form of "vote flipping" from the democrat choice to republican.
Incidences have already been reported in West Virginia & Tennessee: http://theboard.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/10/24/the-electronic-voting-machine-glitches-begin/
as well as Texas: http://www.bradblog.com/?p=6559

These are suggested courses of action to take if it happens to you (from Emily Levy of VelvetRevolution.us):
-Call poll supervisors to observe the problem
-Fill out a problem report
-Refuse to vote on that machine
-Request that the machine be taken out of service
-Get a serial number of the machine if possible (may be unlikely in many cases)
Tell other voters not to vote on that machine
-Call county/town election office
-Call local reporters
-Call voter problem hotlines (eg. 866-MYVOTE1 and 866-OUR-VOTE)
-Contact bloggers and Election Integrity websites.
-Raise holy hell.

Also use a camera to document the incident.

In Florida there are cases being reported of friendly 'ballot collectors' who are picking up ballots from the many befuddled people there.

I'm sure these really helpful people are a bit selective in determining which ballots make it to the County election office, and which ones go to the shredder.

Unless they're throwing out entire districts that are known to be heavily Democratic, probably not. My absentee ballot had like three levels of security envelopes.

The McCain capmpaign is becoming a circular firing squad. Fun to watch. It's been years since I've been able to watch the news with such glee.

Unpaid interns are a symptom of capitalist greed and, like totally just like, exploitation. Please start paying your interns, and please resume posting yummy recipes and/or videos of cute li'l critters.

They're showing the WV voting machines on TV right now. People's whose votes are flipping are PRESSING THEM WRONG. The guy's finger is clearly above the line.

Fnarf, that's like saying the ATM does it wrong when you're 6 foot or taller and you stare down at the screen and it looks like you're selecting option 3 but it's really option 2 cause your angle is not sub-optimal (e.g. short people see ATMs correctly, not tall people).
