My point has to do with how someone can read this site about how Mrs Palin was bought forty gazillion dollars' worth of clothes by Republicans--remember, if she's stupid, it doesn't matter because she's got handlers, right?--and then to say this scarf is something NOT intentional. I can tell you from personal experience that political handlers are aware of the invention of the camera and pay a great deal of attention to visible symbols associated with their people.

You're correct here, though it's a poor analogy because she's not wearing a shirt that says "Obama/Biden" or "Vote Democratic." But for a Democrat to do even as much as that would not be 'smart.' If you want to stay in the Democrat party you act 'smart.' Because Democrats get drummed out of the party for taking their own thoughts too far. Just ask Joe Lieberman or Zell Miller, or Tammy Bruce, or--I'm guessing--soon, Orson Scott Card.
