Whenever I hear about one of these horrible incidents, I assume the attackers are closeted homosexuals turning their self-loathing outwards at the "other".

According to the comments (I can't find any other indication) at least one of the teens is from Morocco, where gays are definitely not stoned to death.

It would be poetic justice if they were stoned to death or brutally punished in their own country(ies) for breaking the Islamic prohibiton of imbibing alcohol, a freedom they enjoyed unfettered while here.

Gays don't fight back because we're all elite intellectuals who don't think violence is the answer.

Oh wait that's bullshit. The reason you don't hear about gays fighting back is because those that do don't end up pressing charges against those who start it and those that get their asses kicked by those they called faggots are too embarrassed to press charges. I don't know about Seattle but there's a lot more (anti-)gay-related violence on Halsted Street in Chicago than the police blotter or the newspapers would have you believe.

Two fewer violent bigot, horray! For the record I know gay people who do fight back. The problem is that a lot of these jerks are such cowards that they strike with no warning from behind and then run off.

@7 - Well, it seems to me that a lot of gay violence seems to be less one against one, and more a group of drunken, moronic, self hating, closet cases against one. It's never a fair fight. They attack in packs. Like dogs. Probably pit bulls.

Well, in our country, assholes like you go to prison. Too bad these guys will get deported instead of landing in prison--it would be nice to see them become a pair of jail-house bitches for men with a different take on male sexuality.

A little off topic, but please note that this is the correct use of the word "Georgetown." Thus, as properly used here, "Georgetown University" refers to a school in the former city of Georgetown, Maryland, currently the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington. And yes, "Washington" refers to a city near George Washington's home of Mount Vernon. The word "state" should be used to modify "Washignton" when one is talking about the area in the Pacific Northwest.
