Look! A sea of anti-Americans in the fucking middle of America!

ST LOUIS, Missouri (AFP) — Addressing a sea of 100,000 supporters Saturday, Democrat Barack Obama fired back against White House rival John McCain on taxes and toxic campaign messages 17 days out from election day.

Obama is a bold man.

I was there! I was there!!!

wow, 100k? I knew there was a ton of people there, but I would have never been so bold to estimate 100K. I'm glad the AP counted!

It sure made me feel better about my city. I would LOVE IT is MO went for Obama...

@7. I lived in Columbia, MO for 4 months and it was the worst fucking thing. I was there in 2000 when they voted for Bush and the governor who said "Miz-SUR-uh." I hope they get their shit together this year too.

Dear seajay the big republican :

That Irish growth rate you love so much it was yoru main example of what to shoot for, it was in part achieved with a 4% of Irish-GDP-subsidy-from-taxing-richer-EC-confreres-Germany/France etc. which in USA terms would be 4% of USA GDP ie $500 billion a year for USA but we haveno other richy rich neigbors to help us out so we would mimic that policy by taxing our own rich so this means you like me favor higher taxes on the wealthy to achieve that level of transformative productivity-enhancing investment in educ. and infra.
that theyha in Ireland, right?

I mean you mentioned Ireland and that's how they did it there. Massive socialistic transfers from the rich -- to go to social investment for greater national productivity.

V. cool. Yes, let's do emulate them as you argued. Awesome!

Your socialistic pal to pal around with,

Wow. Its super hard to get 100,000 people and with the way the AP counts its probably more like 125k. Amazing.

Seems that picture is photoshopped somewhat.
A longer tongue in your picture compared to the already mentioned image hear from a few days ago.

That rally was just the least boring thing for people to do on a Saturday morning in St. Louis.

Oh yeah, the AP - the most leftist media outlet and totally in the tank for Barack Hussein Osama - says there were 100,000 people there.

The accurate count is probably half that, and likely less.

That picture is photoshopped.

But since they won't talk about Commie Obama's plan to give tax rebates to people who don't pay taxes, I don't expect a retraction anytime soon.

SAVE AMERICA FROM SOCIALISM AND ISLAMIC TERROR!

MCCAIN/PALIN '08!

Lord Basil, where do I start.
1) Lord Basil? Really? Of all the handles, Lord Basil? ok.

2) Where on earth do you live that you've missed the past 8 years, and you think McCain/Palin are going to take you somewhere different? ok.

3) Im assuming you are one of those 20% that think Bush is doing a good job.

4) How much moonshine did you drink today?

5) THINK. then type.

The NYT magazine artilce on Obama is excellent. Deals with his plan to connect with white working class that has for too long been molded by the GOP's forty year long messaging and basically abandoned by some Democratic liberals via their mocking, etc.

Bottom line, esp. w/ the $150M raised by the O team:
1. we're gonna win the elction but
2. that's when the real fighting starts for change.

So pls. donate volunteer talk to pals and your relatives around the antion but realize it's actually getting everythign passed that counts and that includes much fighting beyond election day.

toodles-

Holy crap, Obama raised $150 million in September. Wow. 100k people in Missouri. $150 million dollars. I'm a little in awe right now...

Don't be so hard on dear Basil. I imagine that I'd be a bit "off" if I lived in a basement studio with a mildew problem as well - especially since he never, ever leaves it. (his world keeps dwinding: At first he wouldn't leave Capitol Hill, then he wouldn't go off his block, no he won't leave that creepy old building. And I don't know for sure, but I think his apartment used to be the coal storage bin)

I've begged him to do a bit of tidying up, get rid of those piles of newspapers, do some laundry, wash up of that sink of dirty dishes. I've even offered to help - maybe paint those dingy walls, and run up some slipcovers for that horrid plaid couch and matching chair he found out by the dumpster but everytime I bring over my Singer and some swatches he starts screaming. It's really quite unsettling.

His only friends are those of us on the slog, and those people over at Sound Politics. He can't get radio reception in that hole, so he doesn't even have KVI to keep him company, like others with his issues do. We must remember that, and treat him with therapeutic courtesy.

But don't worry: He gave me his ballot to post for him. I'll make sure it gets taken care of appropriately.

@18, @22

You won't be laughing when Barack Hussein Osama opens the gulags.

@22

You should listen to KVI. Everyone here should. Great wisdom can be heard there, from dusk to dawn, which you leftist pinkos desperately need.

And it looks like you all will need the coming economic calamaties that will befall this great nation if Obama's confiscatory tax policies designed to punish achievement are enacted to see the error of your ways.

Those who have died for this country will look down from heaven and wonder what happened.

AP is a leftist media outlet? Here all along I thought it stood for Associated Press and doesn't actually create any stories of its own.

P.S. - I thought that because I'm right.

What does "anti-American" have to do with the article referenced? No mention was made of "anti-Americanism in there.

And if it's true that Mr Obama turned out to see 100,000 supporters, and attacked the silly old man that Grampy is supposed to be, how does that make him "a bold man?"

But this is what passes for reason on the Left. Just string together enough media catchphrases, and hey presto! Steadiness, firmness, and gravitas.

100,000 people and Obama didn't get shot! Now how are you feeling about that whole assassination thing, Dan???

I've lived in New York, St Louis, and California. There's about as much and the same to do in any of the places on a Saturday morning. Which is not much unless you have to go to work. My mom says it like "Misera" too. People always say stuff different depending on where they live. What's the big whoop? I also hope MO goes to Obama.
