posted by on October 9 at 9:55 AM

Obama’s pushback on Ayers, which essentially calls McCain a coward for not bringing up this supposedly very important issue at Tuesday’s debate:

Man, I'm starting to think that McCain secretly comments on Line Out. Or, maybe he is John Bailo?

Either way, he is not unlike anonymous internet shit-talkers. Too cowardly to say it to anyone's face, yet full of hateful and uncontrollable urges.

We all know why the Ayers thing was not touched by Sen. Geezer during the debate.

Two Words:

Charlie
Keating

I assault random people when I'm drunk. Talking shit to someones face is just another Tuesday.

McCain didn't bring it up in the debate because he knows that Obama can smoothly refute the charge in 2 or 3 sentences. Better to save the fear fodder for his desperate poll-slide commercials. Slime.

All he has to do is say "you sat and watched while Marylin Shannon praised people who shoot abortion doctors, and said nothing." McCain knows better than anybody that he's got far worse skeletons in his closet than anyone.

I rarely advocate such action, but I'm beginning to think that Obama should refute it, raise the issue on his own in the next debate, and confront John McCain on the sleaziness of the way he's handling the attack.

The issue is already out there. The media keeps repeating it, and all of McCains surrogates are shouting it. Barack could raise the issue directly with McCain, who seems unable to state it directly (did you see McCain with Hannity when he asked him about it? McCain was squirming).

If McCain won't raise it, Obama should, then refute it forcefully, and segue into Keating.

This is a good and snarky summary of the candidates' character and experience, as processed by the McCain spin machine. I think it's deserving of a wider audience.

by extension, mccain is saying that the entire ciy of chicago "pals around with terrorists". ayres was 'chicagoan of the year' in 1997. the man has been rehabilitated.

but that means shit to republicans, because that only works when you give your life to jebus.

We haven't had the last debate yet folks.

Not that debates are the place for stuff like that ... every presidential candidate has people on staff for that. Leaks, innuendoes, attack ads, etc. It's all part of the game.
