There was one John McCain we thought we knew. The POW who stood for principles, who understood the value of bipartisanship, who could be a true maverick for the good of the country.
But the erratic, impulsive, partisan, and divisive John McCain who we hear speak on the campaign trail, the one who appeals to the very worst that the country has to offer, the one without a solid plan for the nation other than trying to play his opponent as a boogeyman, the man who flails as his poll numbers sink, is not the McCain that we thought we knew. So America is once again left to ask:

@2 - exactly. But is it just me or does he look a lot like Obama? A slouchy, white Obama?
I heard John McCain is a Scientologist. Is that true? Is that why he gets so much Hollywood money?
I always thought David was kinda cute, in a sorta dorky way.
Hope like hell he will be Obama's version of Louis Howe (FDR freaks will know who I mean) or you fictional fans, his Leo McGary.
