Go ahead. Start with checking the party affiliation of those that were nabbed, and finish with providing proof that the registration fraud was performed with the intent to change the outcome of the election.

On the way, be sure to highlight how ACORN flags suspicious voter registration forms, fires the small fraction of employees that turn them in, and is required by law to turn them all in anyway.

How about a 'Bottom of the Barrel' inquiry to analyze the slime which is the McCain campaign.

Whipping the dimmest of the dim into a frenzy, and trying to ignite the psychopaths who would actually kill Obama, is beyond shameful. It is CRIMINAL!

McCain & Palin have both entertained psychos who have yelled "KILL HIM!" at their inbred campaign events -- where only the wacky faithful are allowed to attend.

It's time for the Secret Service to launch an investigation of the McCain campaign, before it is too late.

This enforcement issue should be handled at the lowest level possible (along with all of the other authentication and verification procedures). If not polling place, then district, county, or state. Why escalate directly to the national level, except for a sensationalistic (and desperate) attempted headline-grab?

Hate to say it but I have yet to hear the democrats in congress seriously investigate the caging of voters and purging of the voting rolls that the republicans have been doing all over the country.

This has been talked about many times on liberal radio and The Nation and New Republic to the point I am sick of hearing about it. Still MSM like The Stranger does not even know who Greg Palust is!?! So when McCain wins this by cheating (which he will) I hope you all know why.

Seriously, it may have been terribly irresponsible for Josh or Eli to not know about Greg Palast, but stop harping on it already. I'd never heard of the guy either, and I the Media was still sucking on Bush's teat at the time, so it's not like he got a ton of mainstream attention.

Karl Rove had a strategy for a "permanent republican majority". A large piece of that strategy was to appoint "local bushies" to the US Attorney positions nationwide, who would dutifully file "voter fraud" charges close to elections. US Attorneys pressured to file such lawsuits in 2004, but David Iglesias and John McKay, among others found those charges to be without merit, and refused to intervene. They were promptly fired. A filed in Wisconsin against an ACORN maanger was litigated, but he and several others charged were acquitted.

The republicans may not have as many compliant US Attorneys as they'd hoped, but they are still executing on their original electioneering strategy. It's sad that the credulous press can't seem to put this story together right.

I heard Anita Dunn, Obama's Communications Officer speak this past weekend and she said that on Monday the campaign was going to kick off an aggressive offensive media program to counter all of these voter fraud allegations that the Republicans are throwing out. I haven't seen anything yet, so we'll see.

There's an excellent BBC documentary (featuring the renowned Mr. Palast) up on YouTube right now. The upshot? The Republicans are using the threat of registration fraud such as McCain is mentioning as a pretext to throw millions of likely Democratic voters off the rolls in swing states. Even after the government's own study into the matter concluded that this "threat" was non-existent.

Always accuse your opponent of what you're doing, then hope the truth disappears amidst the fireworks. As long as the media always reports Both Sides Of The Story without regard to which side can support their positions with facts, it works every time. The true accusation and the false will be treated with equal merit, the media pundits will shrug their shoulders and say "I guess it's all a matter of who you believe" and by the next "news cycle" the whole story has evaporated into the ether.
