Now you guys are just plain taunting the meat debate, for fucksake
This place is a local treasure. More so than anything along pike or pine.
I bet Bellevue Ave is fat
And within stumbling distance of Ezell's!
Chicken fried bacon, Schmader? Whoaaaaa, nellie (figuratively speaking...).
That sounds so positively reckless to one's heart health I'm surprised there aren't cardiologists picketing the front of that place.
Is this reproduceable at home or does one need to actually go down to this place?
Yeah, I'm veg, so I've never tried the stuff, but people I know love it (and say it takes at least four people to make a dent in one order.)
@Jubilation T. Cornball none of their menu can be replicated at home. The twilight's kitchen has the best fried food in the city.
@6, it must be one of the foundational pillars justifying marijuana indulgence. The thought of hopping up on some chronic and then biting into that makes life worth living for one more day...
I guess the secret is out, but here's a couple others...
-you can order a chicken fried BLT!!!
-CHICKEN FRIED PICKLED EGGS
-scouts for Diners, Drive-ins and Dives (Guy (Poochy) Fieri's show) were there last week wanting to film the place.
Oh noes!! I will so dearly miss this place!!! I live right around the corner and I already desperately miss the nightly excitement from Deano's....
that's cool that the central district's one bar isn't closing down.
@3, I have a beer gut and the beginning of love handles but I've plateaued at 210. I used to be 150ish when I worked out and could bench 225 3 years ago. Giving up the exercise without giving up the diet is calamitous.
That chicken fried bacon is da bomb. It's the perfect food for watching McCain and Palin get their asses kicked in the debates.
That sucks for me. They'll be going from about a half mile away from me to a mile and a half away. At that point I might as well go to pike/pine.
I suppose I can use this as an excuse to visit my CD friends.
Chicken. Fried. Bacon.
Ohmygod.
That's it; I'm moving back to Seattle.
but do they have a liquor license? as i understand it, the downfall of la louisiana was that the Principal of Garfield vetoed its liquor license, under the ridiculous 1,000 foot rule.
The move's going well from what I hear and the new spot will definitely have the karaoke. For sure.
ugh! street parking in my 'hood is already f'd up due to the ethiopian restaurant on 26th and cherry and garfield re-opening. now i'm going to have to deal with a bunch of drunk hipsters trolling for parking at all hours. and, i don't think there's enough weed in the world to get me to choke down and order of chicken fried bacon.
Damn. All the black owned businesses near the twilight seem to get shut down - there goes Cherry.
To # 11 - there used to be more bars in the CD but white people moved in, were scared of black people, talked to each other, talked to people in power, got organized, and got them closed....
When I lived in Seattle this summer, this was one of my favorites. Viva Twilight.
Hm, distance-wise, I think this is pretty much a wash for me, so I'll put it in the "win column" in terms of the still relatively small amount of drunk-walking involved.
This is the best fucking news ever!
