Sorry, but just like in the simpsons, if it involves singing, I just sort of glaze over.

Macs are for morons. Plain and simple.

The fight was hilarious. The beginning or end needed to be either severely cut down or cut out entirely. Seriously. I can picture it now: It starts right there on the battlefield. Macs. PCs. The dance-off begins (and lasts half as long as it did in this version). Then BAM- fight scene, gore, disturbing use of MacBook Airs and iPods. And instead of breaking into song at the end, the final two embrace in a passionate, bloody, toothless kiss.

Black screen with the words "Why can't we all just get along?" or something similar.

I can guarantee it will be a thousand times funnier and enjoyable.

You know, I realized the other day as I was sitting in the bathtub, D&D 3.5 vs. D&D 4.0 is PC vs. Mac. D&D 3.5 is messy and the guts are hanging out all over and nothing is balanced and it falls apart all the time, but because you can get at the guts, you can make it do stuff you want it to do. D&D 4.0 is streamlined and hermetically sealed and balanced and WYSIWYG, but has no user serviceable parts inside.

I'm going to go to McDonald's for breakfast now.

Ok, I actually watched the Chris Crocker blinkfest longer than this, 50 seconds versus 38 seconds. I actually hate musicals more than I hate Sarah Palin, wow.

lets get real here; apple making fun of microsoft for advertising in its own advertisement is stupid and hypocritical.

It's Mac. It's a computer, not drag queen makeup.

Yes, Poe, plain and simple.

Macs are for people who care about their computing experience. You pay more for ease of use and a powerful, elegant OS, not to mention the hardware.

PCs are for people who really just use whatever's in front of them. That's why you never hear of PC people getting amped up over new OS releases.

That's not saying one's better than the other, they're just different platforms for different needs. It's like people who eat fast food (PCs) over those who'll spend a little extra for decent food (Macs). Fast food people think people who spend extra are crazy, and people who eat better food think the fast food people are crazy.

Different strokes and all that. And that's coming from a goddamn professional.

Once again, we see people being assimilated by the Borg. Well done, Microsoft overlords.

Oh Matt, I never expected you to be part of the Mac social movement. That is also the dumbest comment I've read on Slog. From a to z.

people who use macs think it makes them a better person. people who use PCs don't attach their egos to their computer.

I've become a PC person of late... But that could be explained by the fact that those "overlords" are the ones that issue my paycheck these days... So I'm probably a bit biased.

@16
There was a geek culture that regarded PCs as more "manly" because they weren't user-friendly, but you could go inside and customize them how you want.

They were the sort of people who would love this video.

IT geeks like myself are such a small subset of the PC userbase though. Every mac user has this superiority complex though.

Holy shit. Being called "dumb" by Mr. Poe is like having the special needs kid in your grade school homeroom unexpectedly mock you in front of the entire class...!

Um, hasn't anyone noticed that Macs ARE PCs now? They're running the same hardware, so the only difference is software. This would have been a lot funnier if Linux had gotten involved.

@16

PC owners attach as much or more of their egos to their little computer boxes as MAC users. Just look at the culture- the reasons for their pompous self-riteousness may stem from different sources but they are equally pathetic.

I myself use macs because I'm an artist and like how the Adobe Creative Suite works on macs. I also prefer their aesthetic, their user-friendliness, and their overall quality.

I don't use them because they are some magical status symbol. Same as an average PC user does not brag constantly about his fancy machine. There are elitist pricks in both parties, and there are just those who prefer one over the other without getting overtly sensitive about the subject.

To say otherwise is to admit your own obnoxious bias.

There's a difference between having a mac and being part of its retarded social movement.

Most of us techies gave up on Windows when they tried to shove Vista down our throats.

Now we're just plain ignoring Windows 7 - nobody wants it and we can't afford it.

My next computers will be Mac and/or Linux.

i would imagine jobs and ballmer laugh at all of this. "okay, you pay for our product, now you are a part of OUR army, go and fight for us"

Mac: that laptop you just bought? POS, buy the new one.

PC: you need new hardware and more features, really you do!!!

Linux: we can work with anything. Please don't send your toxic techno-trash to china. here, have something new and effective, free.
