I was thinking fake, until I heard the reactions from the crowd. If its real, I would say it's a serious common sense fail.

If I was the groom I would have jumped in too. Why not salvage it into something fun - you know the obvious "taking the plunge" metaphor.

1. Camera person doesn't loose the shot

Agree with #5. Plus, that zoom-in/zoom-out attempt at making it look like amateur video is the hallmark of a professional trying to give the appearance of an amateur.

fake! it's complex to explain but if you've ever recorded an event you'll know the sound is a giveaway (ask yourself - where are the microphones? who has one and why?). and i'm with davidc, watch some AFV and you'll get it - if the camera doesn't shake, the operator knew it was coming.

it amazes me what people will put effort into doing...

I notice the groom didn't jump in and get his clothes wet to save the bride. Not very auspicious.

It could indicate a sign of his latent affection for the Best Man, who was doing his own version of Dustin Hoffman in The Graduate.

I imagine them both skipping away from that island and onto a Metro bus.

FAKE: at every SINGLE wedding I've ever been to, and it's enough, the officiant READS the text from the printed page. NOT ONE has recited it from memory. But an actor PLAYING an officiant, as directed, would memorize his lines.

what is sad about this bit of fakery is that the 10 or so people involved probably thought this viral bs was sooo cool and such a great idea. sadly, this is yet more proof that the human project is clearly in decline. weeping.
