What a long, strange, Oprah-endorsed, daddy-drenched, sleep-deprived, white-people-obsessed, boozy, and always anxiety-provoking trip it’s been…

I didn't get mine. I thought they mailed them all out on the same day.

Bellevue Ave got his today and I was excited and went home to check my mail and mine wasn't there. We only live a few blocks from each other but aren't in the same zip code, so hopefully it will come tomorrow.

Be sure to mail in your ballots from different locations in order to help cover up ACORN's tracks.

Please everyone, vote no on I-1029.
The language in the ballot makes it sound like a good idea but it isn't for families like mine. We have a disabled child and have caregivers in our home so this would effect us very personally.

Voting is way cool. After you vote go volunteer. Donate. Call grandma and all your cracker relatives and talk them through their overt or implicit racism..."well you know you can have a job and future with Obama, or none with the old white guy.....look at Will Smith, you saw his movie, right?" Just sayin.

NYT reports hundreds of Obama fans are going to other states to volunteer. Back east. Why not here? Why no buses to help out in Nevada or Colorado or MT hmmm? Shit even planes are pretty cheap. Fly to Reno, whatever.

Anyone? Wassup only East coast folks walk the walk??
PNW folks just talky-talk talk??

Unity y'all--

Dammit, where's mine? I wanna fill in the little round thing for Obama, too! Again, I mean. Though it was worthless, I totally voted for Obama in the primary and then caucused for him, so at this rate, I will have voted for the man three times this year. Yaaay!

(Now I'm going to continue looking at fivethirtyeight and praying that this doesn't go horribly wrong.)

unemployment in Washington will be 10 per cent by March.... homelessness common and food banks out of food ... re discover the oh so cheap potato

Gregoire will pull it out in the final week as real voters make up their minds down the ballot - win by .5

I got mine and stopped just short of filling it out and stuffing it into the post box in short order.

But instead, tonight I am sleeping with my ballot under my pillow, to sleep, perchance to dream.

I'm old school-- I still truck on over to my polling place, heartily thank the dear poll workers sitting shiva for the days of shared physical civic discourse, and mark my little bubbles whilst standing at that weird bobbly table. The picture of your ballot, Eli, made me get teary. Seriously. Vote for one pair. Barack Obama and Joe Biden. President and Vice President of the United States. I feel like a bride, I tell you. Do you, the people of the United States, take these men to be your lawful leaders? I DO! Cannot wait to declare it officially.

I just got mine this evening. I filled it out at a friends dorm. I'm been waiting 21 years to vote for president, and my eyes are starting to water while I type this. Please let Obama win.

Got mine a couple of weeks ago (military and overseas ballots go out earlier). I think I'm going to fill it out this weekend, because I want it to be counted on Election Day (and not a week later or whatever).

I am looking forward to inking the shit out of the Obama and Biden bubble. Oh yes.

I got my absentee ballot and voted for the only loyal American on the ballot.

Now I will wait with all my guns cleaned and ready to defend this country against socialism and homosexuality as I did in Vietnam.

I urge all loyal Americans to vote for John McCain and Sarah Palin. They are the last front for faith, family, flag, and freedo.

My roommate got hers, but mine hasn't come yet. Totally weak.

@22: Freedo? Wasn't he one of Don Corleone's boys? McCain/Palin defend the Mafia? Well then I must vote Obama!

I'm early voting tomorrow morning in Illinois. Obama is obviously a lock here, but now it looks like McCain is pulling out of Wisconsin so I'm liking that too.

Yay! I got mine last night . Sat down with a bottle of wine and took two hours filling in all the little ovals. I saved the best one for last. Obama!!!!!!!!!

PC @9: Nevada is getting a huge push (including your own Mr. and Mrs. Switzer) from volunteers. Don't know about Colorado, but as the Obama campaign isn't staffed by morons, I'm guessing they have folks going there, too. Keep in mind that the epicenter for the national media IS the east coast, so they cover what's happening in their back yard. Nevada is some god-forsaken outpost to them.

@24 - No, no. Freedo is Jimmy Smits' younger brother and the focal point of the new season of Dexter.

FedEx just picked mine up to take it back overseas a half an hour ago... I'm so goddamn happy, even my German roommates are happy, so now we're all going to go get drunk!

Drunk for Obama!

I seriously have tears in my eyes too.

Hey tacomagirl -

I asked my Mom how to vote on that one (she's an estate lawyer who also deals with a lot of power of attorney and elder care stuff) and she said the same thing.

Sounds like there's a consensus among people who know what they're talking about, to vote no on that initiative.

A fuzzy jpg of a ballot shot by a person who doesn't now how to use the macro setting on his shitty digital camera? Well, good for you, Eli!

Get it right @29 - Freedo was the guy Dexter was going to kill when in walked Jimmy Smits little brother * Miguel*. Freedo was the drug dealer/ murderer of 2 college students. Miguel was a secret junkie and Ramon is the 3rd brother. Jeez!

So how do we know that our ballot is received and counted after we put it in the mailbox? I want to make sure Obama gets my vote!

At least it reads "Republican Party Nominees" and not "Nominees prefer the Grand Old Party"
