WOW! so Assuming an elitist is a "bad" thing; he thinks that someone is an elitist if they think they can dictate what people can/should do. Well isn't that what every politition has come to be - especially the right wingers like bachman and well, even McCain himself?

So according to John McCain elitists are people "who think that they can dictate what they believe to America rather than letting Americans decide for themselves."

Can anyone explain to me how McCain/Palin's pro-life agenda and opposition to same-sex marriage doesn't fall in this category?

McCain owns 8 houses and 11 cars, and Caribou Spice just went on a $150,000 shopping spree. The Republicans think it is perfectly fine to dictate whether or not I can get married or what a woman can do with her body.

Lies, lies, lies. They are really openly showing that their re-election strategy to play to their belief that most Americans are stupid.
Their simple talk makes me pretty sick. Palin is an idiot. McCain is a sellout, made too cynical by his old age. Can't wait until they both go away. And if they win, I won't be able to watch any news for years. And everything will also suck. And some of these comments are fricken awesome. I'm watching this race, powerless, from across the Pacific (in Australia). Please, please, please America, don't vote these 2 in.

I love America. It's possibly the greatest country in the world (although obviously I have a personal bias for my own), but we in the ROW* have had to endure 8 years of Bush's America flushing the world economy, the environment and world geo-political stability down the toilet. Please don't make it another 4. I'm begging now. On my knees.

@24. Uh, you think it was bad in Australia. Try living through 8 years of it here. Not only did we have a front-row seat to the horror show, but we also had to deal with the approx. 50% of the people who voted him in. Twice.

Though, in the tiniest sliver of a sliver lining, it has meant that we can shove the failure that was the past 8 years in the face of people who so ardently supported the monkey.

in four more years she'll be pushing 50. i think perhaps some of the frat boy ardor will be wearing off by then. and she will be recalled, so where can a recalled governor go, politically? it's a disgrace that ends political careers. tv is where she's headed, i'm sure of it.
