Halloween Favors Obama

posted by on October 13 at 10:22 AM

Yet more bad news for McCain:

obamamccainmasks.jpgVinyl masks of Democrat presidential candidate Obama are reportedly selling better nationwide, and locally, than those of Republican McCain. Halloween

Mask suppliers say sales of political masks have predicted the outcome of the last several elections.

Matt Lance, chairman of the Bay County Republican Party, doesn’t buy it. The winner on Nov. 4 will be determined by voters, not trick or treaters, he said….

…On the other hand, ”I would assume the McCain costume wouldn’t be coming to my door looking for a handout,” Lance laughed.

Tony Pawelski, chairman of the Bay County Democratic Party, said he wouldn’t give any candy to a costumed McCain.

”He’d just give it to Bush,” Pawelski quipped.

Why is that mask of Obama not convincing?

Hm, that seems a bit counter-intuitive to me, just because I think I'd be much more scared by someone wearing a McSame mask than I would be if someone were wearing an Obama mask.

On the other hand, I can imagine, in many parts of the South the opposite would be true.

"Mr. Obama is running as a reformer who is seeking to reduce the influence of special interests. But like any other politician, he has powerful constituencies that help shape his views. And when it comes to domestic ethanol, almost all of which is made from corn, he also has advisers and prominent supporters with close ties to the industry at a time when energy policy is a point of sharp contrast between the parties and their presidential candidates."

I can't think of anything lamer than being some fucking politician for Halloween.

I think the mask is not convincing because the chin is too big. It's like a Leno chin. The nose is off too. It almost looks like a weird version of James Brown.

That mask is weird because it looks like they just took the John Kerry mask from 2004 and colored it brown.
Because, you know, all Democrats look alike.

When I was six, I dressed up as a homeless Richard Nixon for Halloween. Good times!

#1 - Stop spreading the myth that racism in the US solely exists in the South. If you take a look most of the recent hateful McCain/Palin rallies are taking place in northern states like PA, OH, and MN.
I'll admit since most of the southern states aren't swing states (only FL) we aren't getting the chance to expose our racism as much. But the events of the past few weeks should be viewed as evidence that racism is alive and well outside of the South. So stop hating on the South!

No, McCain wouldn't ask for a handout. He'd steal candy from the little kiddies and give it to middle aged adults.

The skin tone on the mask looks darker than Obama's actual color. Similar to the infamous photoshopped O.J. Newsweek cover.
