Hilarious

posted by on October 24 at 14:26 PM

In the comments to Paul’s post about the girl who beat herself up for McCain, Slog tipper cochise. brings up a wonderful point:

Filing a false police report = Class D Felony

Class D Felony = No Vote.

lolzies!

Oh I hope this is true.

She'd have to be convicted before Nov. 4th for this election not to count. Did she vote early somewhere?

Surely going forward though, she's screwed.

I think for my halloween costume I'm going to black my eyes and scratch a big "M" in my cheek.

@1 if texas is the deciding state, and McCain wins the state by 1 vote, I call for a major msm expose investigation.

Where is it a class D felony?

Checking the Pennsylvania laws, it appears to be a misdemeanor in both cases.

18 Pa.C.S.A. 4096 (b): "Fictitious reports.--Except as provided in subsection (c), a person commits a misdemeanor of the third degree if he:

(1) reports to law enforcement authorities an offense or other incident within their concern knowing that it did not occur; or

(2) pretends to furnish such authorities with information relating to an offense or incident when he knows he has no information relating to such offense or incident."

Subsection (c) only comes into play if there's a state of emergency.

What's the official charge on calling 911 to complain about traffic, like McCain's brother did yesterday?

NO, not acceptable. You're doing the very same thing I've despised the Republicans for doing as of late, salivating over the disenfranchisement of your political enemies.

It's bullshit that felons can't vote. They've served their time, they still pay taxes, and as far as I know they can still be drafted.

I apologize as I don't know how to embed links, but now the reports are McCain's campaign gave details on the attack before, um, they should have been able to.

I really can't take anymore.

I'm with #8. This hoax was ridiculous, but it is NOT something she should lose her vote over. It is total bullshit that felons can't vote.

it's a misdemeanor - filing a false police report. she'll still get to vote for mccain so we can all rest easy.

i personally don't have a problem with felons not being able to vote.

What consequence did Crystal Mangum, the woman behind the Duke rape hoax, face? None. How many people will point out this double standard? None.
