Forgive me for aestheticizing something that for the particpants was tragic, but the scene was a model of the filmmaker's highest aspiration. Without a word being spoken, it was immediately apparent the two were fraternity brothers at the house, and best friends: Krackle, trying halfheartedly to defend himself from a rain of blows, it had clearly been discovered, was shtupping the girlfriend of the Knight, who had just found out. I will never forget him, weeping, betrayed by everyone most important to him, windmilling that guy around the papier mache head that was the front of his costume.
