A gay rapes a two-month old baby in Hawaii--but, hey, at least no one is claiming the gays are otherwise sweet and lovable.

Neighbors described the gay that raped a 2-month-old boy early yesterday as a loud and flamboyant gay that remained sequestered for most of the time in a booth in the back of The Eagle. "My grandchildren couldn't go to Pike Street because I thought the gay was dangerous," said Vidinha, 68.

The gay also attacked the baby's mother, who is hospitalized in stable condition. A spokesperson for the Human Society in Hawaii notes that "attacks of this nature give gays--particularly flaming ones--a negative stereotype." Yeah, isn't it a pity?

Please stop implying that certain types of people are analogous to certain breeds of dogs. Besides being an inapt metaphor, it's incredibly insulting. It does nothing to make your point and makes you kinda look like a jackass.

People are not dogs.

Life is an ugly thing, and people just like dogs will breed. They have a vested interest in reproducing. What happens when you can't afford birth control, or car insurance, or education ... well gee golly people don't fucking pay for it, and society pays.

The pitbulls, breed banning, is a total fucking red herring of animal treatment.

Are you trying to imply that red-necks from Monroe or Enumclaw are somehow MORE subculturally sensitive by comparison?

Or is it just that assholes exist everywhere, in every society and subculture, and therefore we should treat ALL assholes with the same amount of snide, snarky, insensitivity, regardless of their geographic locale or socio-economic background?

I'm also more on the side of the people that have to enforce the theoretical breed bans, because they are ultimately unenforcable. Dog breeds are especially vague in the real world where people don't go to the pet store and pick out a dog that was breed in a puppy mill. It also puts huge a burden on animal control where these people get payed crap to do something that they only enjoy, and people like Dan Savage seem to totally take for grantid.

Like I said, these posts are elitist.

A dog that is as big and muscular as a pit bull should be exercised for several hours a day. The sad fact is that few owners are willing or capable of dedicating that kind of time and attention to their dog. So the dog gets short walks and stays in the yard or house or kennel for hours on end, growing progressively more bored, more neurotic, more aggressive, until they eventually break-out to take themselves on a walk, to run down whatever petty annoyance has been aggravating them from the other side of the door or fence (and yes, having two very young nephews, I can say declaratively, toddlers harass dogs - my 18 month old nephew, if he had his druthers, loves to poke his fingers in my dogs' noses, eyes, and ears, and is prone to whacking them on the head or back).

The fact is that pitt bulls require a little more care than the average labrador. However, culturally speaking, it's rare for dogs owners to put the necessary effort into them and one simply has more dire consequences when a pit bull gets loose than when a nasty-tempered chihuahua gets out.

But, with a pit or other large breed, you have to know how to train, exercise, and be the alpha dog. I'm always amazed at people who are impressed by how well-behaved our dog is (e.g., "he comes when you call him!"). I'm like, he's a 90-lb Doberman. What is the alternative?

The question is, how to address the problem of "beginner" owners having "advanced" dogs? Breed bans? Mandatory spay/neuter? Additional licensing requirements? All are difficult from a practical implementation perspective...

Time to exterminate all gay people. Remember Jeffrey Dahmer? Oh he was such a nice guy.

Gay people are a disease that needs to be cured. Ops, sorry I meant exterminated.
