I was trying to send this thing earlier tonight to a friend and it kept censoring the last name (would just show the first letter and a period). I tried several variations. Is this happening to others? Does it just have to be some approved all-american last name?
Hey, I have a question about this absentee voting.. Is there any advantage to voting early vs. late? I mean in the sense that, all of us here who are at least somewhat intelligent will be voting for Obama, Gregoire, etc. Say we all voted early and there were enough of us to affect the early vote counts that got reported, would this be more likely to be to our advantage or not?
I have no doubt that any effect one way or the other would be minuscule.. but does anyone here have any actual info on that? I have my absentee ballot here in my desk, and I just can't decide whether to keep procrastinating a little more or not...
oh yeah, and by "early vs. late" above i meant early vs. last minute - otherwise we get another one of those MoveOn videos, but this time for real!
(however, if any Palin or Rossi fans are reading this, then I definitely advise you to vote late.. waaaaay late, 'cause it'll totally throw those other voters for a loop, y'know?)
Lord Basil, Thank you for being honest with us about your intelligence level! What you lack in brains you have made up for with the courage you've displayed in "coming out of the closet" here about what you're missing upstairs.

It doesn't matter. In WA, they don't actually count early mail-in ballots before election day. Whether you mail it today or Nov 4th, it won't get counted until election day. We will hear no reports of early voting results here like we've heard in other early voting states.

Sonuvabitch autoplay! I loaded up a half dozen news and blog windows and then couldn't find which one was playing the video, or even if it was a video.
I thought I was having precognitive visions of the future again, like the one about the thing that's going to happen next April. Make them stop Dan!
JW@15: Vote now. You might get hit by a bus this afternoon.
If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into.

Haha. Where did this come from!?
Fuck this auto-play video.
Stupid Move On doesn't know how to do a useable video player.
Dan, they told me that I lost the election! (sorta creepy, yes?)
"I am worried John McCain will bomb my goats. He is a crazy man!"

I have to say, I'm not surprised, Dan.
This is why you should have voted early like everyone else.
only confirms that savage is a self-righteous arrogant attentionwhore.
(would be better if you started your own hatesite, dan)
innernetz, n00b. not as funny as lolcat, but whatever...
That video is awesome. They should let you submit photos of your friends for the Bill O' Reilly bit.
@5, I had the same issue. So disappointing! Thinking it might be a character limit, but I can't get it to send to the same email address twice.
well, the old lady with the arthritic hip was right about one thing.
So... have you absentee voted yet, Dan?
Yeah, Dan... didja vote?
A hearty "LOL" to this post sir.

Um hey, auto-play video = not cool!
Dan Savage, my boyfriend is laying here in bed with the flu, and your stupid post just woke him!
OMG I love it!!It's hilarious. I am feeling torn-do I vote early...or wait in line a couple of hours on the 4th to be in the mix
IN WASHINGTON - there is no announcement or count of early votes. Our Supremes ruled against any counting prior to election day.
Mail in early keeps it tidy - they do not the ballot has arrived in a data base, but no counting early.
Some of these early vote forcasts are by interview where the voters are in line to to vote early.
You can deliver your absentee in person, save postage and assure delivery.
Jerry - already mailed, all cool, will be phononing on election day then getting very drunk at many parties - looking for tons of free liquor.
What Lord Basil appears to mean @17--according to Lewis Diuguid of the Kansas City Star--is, "keep that black man out of the White House."

let's not forget that an absentee ballot is a PAPER ballot, and that's worth a lot right there. yes, i'm talking 'bout you, deibold bastards.

Dan, please move the video behind a cut. It's going to auto-play for every slog reader every time we refresh the page.
Content funny.
Auto-pay not funny.

This is awesome. I actually blame you for everything. I'm getting over a fever and a massive ear infection. Guess who I blamed?

Matthew 24:43.
Wait a minute here! What's going on? Alex Koppelman on Salon.com has the exact same video clip running and says MoveOn is blaming HIM!
The fucking Auto Run still plays again after a minute, even after you click pause/stop.
These player problems - MS Windows player problems? Lord Basil not sweet, needs to slink back to Free Republic...
If you have Flashblock it doesn't autoplay.
