I weep. Tears of joy. For my cats. And my kids too, I guess. They don't have families of their own yet, so I guess I can't weep for THEM, unless it's for my kids' unborn children, but that's just weird and gets into the whole "when does life begin" morass. Anyway, I weep too. YAY!

I can never figure out what it is the upsets Republicans so much about Democrats winning.

In Bill Clinton, they had a solid conservative President who made everyone rich and kept the country in a state of peace.

With Obama, they'll basically get more of the same.

Are they only happy when everybody -- including the vast majority of them -- are utterly miserable?

If Obama wins, it will only be because the media is wholly in the tank for him. If you think there is no media bias, then how much discussion of the Democrat Party's direct role in the Fannie/Freddie crisis?

If the media ever did their job, a treasonous Marxist homosexual and muslim like Obama would lose all 50 states. In fact, the Democrat Party would will a relic of history.

To be fair, that's about how I felt in mid November of 2004, so I can understand the fear, and I do feel a little bit of pity for the people that are actually afraid of Obama. Hopefully after a couple of years when they still have guns, no one has seized their house for "the people", no one has tried to come around tattooing 666 on people's foreheads, etc. etc. everyone will calm down and move from being genuinely fearful to just whiny.

That said, for the rest of us.....:HAPPY DANCE! HAPPY DANCE!

Don't put your dance card around your wrist quite yet, darlings: Gotta get out that and vote, and take some people with you. Nag your lazy, young, elderly and non-motivated friends into voting. Give them rides to the post office (or polling place) if need be. Offer them liquor or sex for the right vote.

Unless you know some dreadful republicans. In that case, commiserate with them, and tell them there's really no point at all in voting. Wear somber clothes on election day, and bring them a Blanc Mange spiked with sominex. Let the sleep peacefully as we make history for them.

did you happen to read the response from the review? "this next month is going to be a long month. lots of things will happen." "WILL HAPPEN" - now, i don't want to sound like a paranoid ark builder, but um ... does someone know something the rest of us don't. it doesn't say "can happen", it says "will happen." do the relics have a crystal ball? or do they already have their october surprise all cued up in the wings?

Another wank, I must say. One reader reaction via email doth not "the right-wing reaction" make.

This isn't the first time Mr McCain's read his own political obituary. Anybody not remember June and July of last year, when people were talking about his campaign in the past tense? Gosh darn it, something must a' happened!

As an independent conservative, I'm not in the tank for Mr McCain. But I'd say anybody who sells this man short does so at their own risk.
