There have been two incidents of violence tonight on the block were I live. One involved a young African American man and a young African American woman which soon esculated into a fight involing 5-6 young African American men and women.
The second was a young African American man fighting with bar security. He was pushing and shoving them claiming he had been "dissed"- I saw the whole thing and apparently his idea of being "dissed" was not being allowed to threaten other patrons.
Can I say this almost (**note the "almost") always the racial breakdown almost every weekend with this kind of stuff? I'm supposed to believe that I am less likely to end up in jail than a young black man because I am white? White women make up a pretty big chunk of the population in this neighborhood and what pecent of the crime? African American men under 30 make up around what percent of the population on the hill? And what percent of the crime?

Do you realize that it is lame to use your vote for obama as cover for you not so hidden bigotry. Last I heard all races have used guns in crime. Hey Graham and MLK, How many of your black neighbors have been victimized by crime? Do you think they blame it on race too? How many have been let go at their jobs or denied raises because of their race? How many had to go to underserviced schools because they live in a "Black" neighborhood, thus not having the resources to go to college and make more money to move out of the ghetto you moved into?

The funny thing about white people freaking out about black crime is that by and large black people victimize other black people and white people are far more likely to be the victim of other whites. That doesn't make any of this ok of course, I'm not trying to dismiss black-on-black crime as something no one needs to worry about, but it is typical that white people are irrationally scared of being the victim of a black criminal.

As far as those annoying Belltown girls... how what percentage of the recent muggings and shootings in Belltown have they caused? The worst you could do was say they "egged on their boyfriends". No dumbass, how many people in Seattle have ended up in the coroners office cause a white woman felt she'd been dissed or entitled to mug someone? How many muggings have had white woman as the the perpetrator?
And before you repeat the self serving lie about poverty and social-economic injustice as being the cause of crime:
Women are more likely to be poor than men.
Old people more than young people.
Gays are the group that it is most acceptable to be bigoted against.
So if poverty and social injustice were the cause most crime would be caused by 60-something year old lesbians or transgenders.
But it's not. A huge disproportinate amount of violent crime is comitted by a group that makes up a tiny percentage of the population.
Faux "civil rights" leaders are so anger about the number of black men in prison? They sure as hell don't seem to be angry at them for victimizing anoyone. Pathetic. You know what? If young white women made up 3% of the population but a huge amoung of violent crime, the African American community would be more than happy to point this out, more so when the they were affected by this, and would label these people are "entitled" and "priveledged".... instead when someone is angry at about crime and refuse to believe that the black man wearing $600 shoes and $2000 worth of gold chains who comitted it is a acting out of poverty and injustice they label it, as you do, "racism"

I could point you to several lily-white communities in the Midwest that have much higher rates of violent crime than Seattle, and with neighborhoods that would make "MLK and Graham" look like Broadmoor. I guarantee you no one is bemoaning the "white population" in those towns.

No one is bemoaning the "black population" in this town. Someone pointed out that a vast disproportiate amount of gun crime is committed by young black men. This is a fact. No one is stating that the "black population" in general is "the problem".
African-American "civil rights" leaders openly note when a crime takes place and the victim is black and the perpetrator is not. The Duke rape hoax/case is one example. The murders of several African American teenagers by Hispanic immigrants in Newark NJ last year is another. In the later case African American civil rights leaders,(along with Seattle's newspaper The Medium) openly pointed out the victims were all AA and that the perpetrators were illegal Mexican immigrants. The last 3 words were especially emphasized openly and unaopoligetically again and again and it seemed to be very relevent to the community the victims came from.

Secondly, the difference with these "lily white" high crime neighborhoods you mentioned is that you can blame the perpetrators without having to walk on eggshells to avoid offending the "community" they come from. I do not believe in holding black criminals more responsible than white, but I am so sick of being ordered to see thugs as the victims when they are AA, when what I have seen with my own eyes tells me a different story again and again.

First, please point us to any lily-white community in the Midwest comparable in size to Seattle's 600k, in order that meaningful statistical comparisons are possible.

Later, you can explain how aggregate violent crime rates in communities you classify as "lily white" enable us to infer anything at all about violent crime rates in Seattle's African-American demographic segment.
