Already preparing for the arrival of the first plane of the number one air force in the world:
Kenyan MPs have called for an airport in the west of the country to be upgraded for Air Force One in case Barack Obama wins the US elections.Mr Obama’s father was born in Nyanza Province and the MPs say the local Kisumu airport should be expanded in case he wants to visit.
The Illinois senator is a local hero in his father’s homeland, where a local beer has been named after him.
Mr Obama has never lived in Kenya and he has visited just three times.
The MPs from Nyanza Province said it was clear that Mr Obama was going to clinch the US presidency, the private Nairobi Star newspaper reported.
i can't wait for this - kenyans are going to be so fucking pumped.
I know a few who have been getting up at 4am to watch the debates. Kenya'll be partying it up on the 4th too!
This is somehting that doesn't seem to get speculated on but I'm starting to think that America might for the first time have actually relevant, beneficial interaction with Africa in an Obama White House, if only because of this link.
