“Charles Meets Barack”

posted by on October 29 at 13:48 PM

Having repeatedly posted heart-crushing crap like this, it’s only fair that I share this glass-half-full-and-then-some video making the rounds.

“You’ll need a Kleenex afterward!” warned Slog tipper Janet, but I didn’t think it was that sexy.

Just kidding! I’m uncomfortable with emotion! Three cheers for Charles!

Oh that was so awesome! First time I've cried because of a slog post.

Damn you, Schmader. I'm bawling like a baby. Beautiful stuff.

Sniff.

Gosh, I would have cried if he had been a real American.

Oh wait, I'm not an ignorant freak like Sarah Palin. My bad.

Way to go, Charles!

That was great. I want Charles for my grandpa.

Funny how it was way more inspiring than that "generation we" thing.

@3. Good thing you didn't make it to the part where he talked about how he probably wouldn't be around in 4 years.

Curse you, Julie in Chicago. My slogcrush on you is finished.

Sorry W.T. Foxtrot... Maybe a pile of puppies will cheer you up?

Shit.

My grandpa died about 30 years ago. I need a new one. Can I adopt him?

god dammit david. I'm a straight dude, I'm not allowed to tear up, they have patrols and stuff. Thank goodness I'm homebound and no one can see.

Wasn't there some Video posted the other day showing a bunch of spoiled rich Western Kids bragging about how they will change the future and make sure everyone gets a pony on their birthday? Here's the sort of American that makes change happen, gasp he's actually doing something. The youth are too busy talking on their mobile phones thinking they're doing something productive to get involved.

Here's hoping Colorado completes its red to blue transformation next Tuesday. A week from now we just might have two Dem US Senators, up from one right now, five of seven US Reps, up from four of seven, and an Obama delegation on its way to the Electoral College. And hooray for Charles in Boulder!

Can Barack adopt Charles to be his dad?
What a sweet man.
