It would help if you weren't promoting the oppo research yourself.

Not to be too picky, but the Congressional Record doesn't cover the activities of committees. This quote would have to have come from a hearing transcript.

Eli, that's one big scoop. I read it breathlessly.

Ok so this is not the biggest scandal but I think there is one more angle to look into. Recently there was a story of state troopers claiming degrees that they did not actually have to earn a higher pay scale based on education. The focus of this is diplomas from diploma mills and they may not have focused on officewrs exagerating degrees from legitamate schools. I would want to foia Documents detailing Riecharts Pay scale and credentians claimed to earn this scale. Some of these are confidential but there must be some summary listings that would show what he claimed while he was a sheriff.

Instead of blaming Eli for covering -- not INVENTING (like the Times) -- what's going on with this story, why don't you give him credit for ensuring that the developments are reported quickly and accurately?

Eli didn't ask for our Burner/Reichert battle to take such a petty turn (my opinion)...but he does have to cover it, even if it is kind of silly.

Grow up, people.

Reichert goes for the kill:

reminds me of the interview commercial back in '06, credited with helping the sheriff fend off the blue wave. You think, with Darcy's rise in the polls, she'll survive this time?

Is that Concordia College in Moorhead, MN? I graduated from there with an actual BA in journalism and humanities. Does that make me more qualified than Reichert to be elected in Washington?
