I wonder if any of the people Obama shows America will be Gay-Americans? Probably not, Gay-Americans are still invisible.

Check CNN and/or MSNBC... they should be airing it at 5 pm with the rest of the country so they can run live commentary on their night shows.

it's PST now. PDT is in the summer.

And we'll see the show at 8 pm *our* time.

Maybe Eli is gettin' dishy wit it, but otherwise we'll have the three-hour delay to see it prime time.

I guess you could watch it at 5:00 PDT if you were watching it on cable, but yeah the local broadcast version is at 8:00, opposite Pushing Up Daisies - Dim Sum Lose Sum. It's even on at 8:00 on Univision here - as Barack Obama: Historias Americanas. It follows a program called Querida Enemiga (Sra Palin?)

Well, FOX is airing the spot before the World Series, so they'll probably air it at 5pm, non?

I'm hoping that the Obama campaigns makes this video available on their website later, cos I work until 6pm.

Until then, I'll catch up on the Live Slogging.

Posted by Gordon | October 29, 2008 4:40 PM

@14: Thanks for the clarification. Does that mean 8pm local time officially then? Cos that means I don't miss it afterall.

You know, in parts of Idaho and BC they don't actually use DST so ...

Why does CNN hate America so?

KIRO (CBS), KING (NBC), and KCPQ (FOX) have it scheduled at 8PM ...

KOMO does not list it in the Comcast guide

So...looks like 8pm local time (and perhaps also 5pm, but no one knows).

Twilight Exit doesn't currently plan to show it. They might turn it on if people show up.

I'd also like to watch Obama on The Daily Show. Why everything on the same night?

@21

duly noted @15.

and you've been nominated for an Awardy.
the internet guy who takes it upon himself to dole out awards, WINs, and FAILs. i'd just award it to you outright, but i don't wield that sort of bloggish power. only Awardy winners do.

My friends, it is small wonder this great nation has been brought low if we (still) are unable to clearly communicate to our citizens the correct starting time of a television event. Did we have this problem in the 50's with Leave it to Beaver? No! Or in the 60's with the Beverly Hillbillies? No! Or the 70's with Mary Tyler Moore? No! Or the 80's with Dynasty? No! Or the 90's with Will & Grace? No!

These were far simpler times. My friends I fear for the future of our country should Mr. Obama be elected, his librul temporal mismanagement will be the downfall of us all. We will no longer know when to watch our tv programs as he will tax the very hands of time and allow his terrorist pals to steal the very programs off of our tv sets as they sit in our living rooms!

I had the Obama tv commercial on and saw it was going to be all "oh, I met all these Americans..." and I put "West Wing" dvd back on. Does that make me bad? My vote for Obama isn't changing and I don't need to see "Stories of Americans" to sway me. I'd rather pretend for the next week that Obama/Smits is taking over for Bartlett.
