To all those who joke, when is the last time you went to a funeral for someone under 18 who was killed? It actually feels pretty shitty when the kid next door who I used to see riding his bike is dead. It feels so shitty that it is actually not funny. Maybe if I viewed Black people like myself as wild animals and not people I'd feel differently.
