2008 Barns for Obama, Seattle Edition

onMaybe you’ve heard of the “Barns for Obama” campaign in rural Ohio…
This morning, on my way down to Tacoma for this afternoon’s Joe Biden rally, I noticed Shelly Farnham embarking upon the urban equivalent near the intersection of 12th and John—call it garages for Obama:
And here’s a video of the rural counterpart to her project:

I know you think they're all the same AEIOU states, but it's the barns of OHIO, not Iowa.
@1 Whoops! Thanks, fixed.
Aren't they the "Eee-i-e-i-oh" states? With that farmer, what lives in the dell?
Have any sloggers made a barack o'lantern?
YES - this is the county where I'm from. I told ya not all Ohioans are backwards dimwits.
Nice! Is that the garage door on John that has had the weird science fiction mural for the last several years? Weird to think it's gone, but I definitely like the replacement.
@6 Yes, it is the garage that had the Space Virgin mural, and Shelly is a mad genius. Yay, Shelly!
Hopefully this one will not get tagged up like Barbarella did... I was SO upset for Shelly when I saw that ugly ass tag over the top of the one amazing and beautiful Barbarella...
Way to go Shelleeeeeeee!
Positively inspiring!

The tagging is ugly, but Shelly Farnham's plagiarism is worse. If she's going to be blogging and on news casts she should at least mention she COPIED this image from Shephard Fairey (who ironically is a famous graffiti artist who has spray painted and put decals on scores of private properties over many years).
Everyone knows that's not original artwork. She isn't claiming it as her own -- at least not in any of the news clips that I've seen.
Nicely done Shelly. I hope it stays up for at least 8 years...
