Games Am I Asleep?

onOr did Mercenaries 2, a particularly average shoot-a-bunch-of-stuff video game from EA this year, just insert Barack Obama and Sarah Palin into their game for free publicity? Jesus:
I bet Sarah Palin can see Russia from that helicopter she just hijacked. Conveniently, this “update” to the game in question won’t be out until well after the election, by which time we can only hope Palin isn’t still gathering pitchfork-bearing mobs and demanding recounts.
And besides, no political video game tie-in will ever outdo Bill and Hillary’s “boomshakalaka” days:

Man, what ever happened to NBA Jam? And Acclaim? And Midway? And the Clintons?
That game blows.
Where's the underground adult version? I can think of some better Obama and Palin action that needn't involve firearms . . . . (altho torture, hmmmmm)
Whoa! Did you see what Obama did with that hand grenade?
That, my friends, is not supporting our troops!
Oh man. I have to admit that Palin carrying that huge bazooka is kinda hot.
It looks like they grafted Bill Clinton's face onto Bill Walton's neck.
Sam, are you going to review Fallout 3?
NBA Jam was the most incredible game of its time, thrusting us into 16 Bit's golden age.
Too bad Shaq Fu came out and ruined that balance.
Midway is still around.
OK. Who's going to be the one to point out that the first thing we see Obama do in that preview is Steal A Car? any takers?
@7: I just got a copy earlier this week, and until I get a gaming intern or something, it'll take me a while to get through this one and Fable II, which I plan on combo-reviewing.
...and LittleBigPlanet's coming as well, along with other PS3 stuff. And the Penny Arcade game. And I'm still dealing with this Warhammer Online addiction. Tough life!
Palin's got an awesome back-stabbing attack.
@6: Looks a little more Rick Mahorn to me.
Forget Palin with the bazooka. That's nowhere near misogynistic enough for a video game.
Palin's special weapon would have to be childbirth, with the kids like the brooms in the saucer's apprentice.
@12, there's a Penny-Arcade game? Wow, I haven't been paying any attention...time for Gamespy...
