So since this party will fill to capacity really early, will alternate party locations be posted for those of us that can't get in?

i went to a show at the showbox on the last presidential election & then went to chopsuey after midnight to celebrate with the rest of the folks at the stranger election party...unfortunately, i walked in on the saddest party ever. i was stunned by the results & what i had missed.
this year will be different *fingers crossed*.

the instatrade market in OBama v. McCain as reported on real clear is now about 88% for Obama.

A few light taps on your wooden desk are called for but it's in the bag.

The election is just the first hurdle; the next challenge will be post election getting stuff passed.

Please keep your spirits, organization, donating etc. going and please get even more active in making house and senate pass the stuff Obama wants.

And btw the right wing will fight on very hard with all kinds of crazyness even after they lose......

Can't wait for this event...
good to know that when McCain steals the election and Bush declares martial law to prevent protest, we can all go to jail together... I can't think of anyone else but Dan Savage that I would want to be in a prison camp with...

Why isn't McCain included in the graphic? Elections typically involve more than one candidate.

I guess the Stranger decided to only show their endorsed candidate on the ad, which is a good idea since anyone showing up to support McCain/Palin probably won't enjoy the experience.

I think an "I voted" sticker should be necessary for admission to this party.

@9, I sure hope so. I live in Indiana (eastern time) and last election I had to go to bed without knowing the outcome (they were waiting for Ohio, I think). I want to go to bed early and happy this time.

I'll do anything, anything, just make it stop.

The FBI should seize the vote totals and expose any antI-american who votes for the Marxist Osama as the treasonous traitors that they are and then prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.

This, I fear, is the only way to prevent a civil war in America.

Loyal Americans will have to fight to preserve the American dream by any means necessary.

There's a good party that night at Spitfire, and another at the War Room. So two good alternates. But the real party is sure to be in the streets after Florida and Ohio get announced for Obama!

For folks who want to celebrate or drown their sorrows (as the case may be) at home, Full Throttle Bottles in Georgetown is having an 11% off sale.

They have an amazing selection of micros and wine, including lots of super tasty IPAs. Right next door to Jules Mae's--the designated driver can take a little something home.

I'm not watching unless John McCain pulls a Howard Beale.

Lord Basil is completely right. The only way to prevent a war between the citizens of the country is the take away the voting rights of 2/3 of them who still believe in democracy and throw them in jail. Better yet, kill them. The remaining minority, who voted for McCain, will then be free to lock themselves in their gated communities, watch their stock tickers plummet ever downward, cannibalize each other and pretend that the rest of the planet does not exist. It's the only thing that will save us now!
