This is so depressing. My poor sweet Dingbats. I'm still making a football shaped cake this weekend though, and it is going to be delicious.

We'll see how it goes. Pretty much nothing could be worse than that brick we shit last Sunday in Buffalo. I'll be at the game this weekend, nicely toasted and screaming my guts out for some 49er false starts.

Hey Mikki, your guys didn't do too badly, and I'm uber jealous of your football cake. Oh, errr, I'm probably supposed to smack talk and not commiserate, huh?

I'm happy I ended up in the middle of the pack considering I have no frickin' clue what I'm doing and I made some pretty boneheaded assumptions.

Most years, even when the Seahawks start weak, I'm fairly confident they'll pull it out of their butts eventually. I'm not sure that'll happen this year. Holmgren is going out with a whimper instead of a bang.

the 49ers are all under achieving young talent. if they don't turn the ball over every five seconds like they did against the cardinals the seahawks could be in trouble. however, i think the seahawks veteran poise will etch out a victory, especially because the 49ers coaching staff has yet to do anything but make bad decisions.

The Stoner Report

I was as surprised as everyone that I was able to win since Wisepunk's Wise Spikers were favored by 5 points.

My abysmal Seahawks defense which, like 138,000 other Yahoo Fantasy Football Teams, were immediately put on waivers after the game. I will be playing with either Arizona or Philadelphia's defense next week.

I had way WAY better than expected performances out of my two running backs, rookie Matt Forte, and Michael Turner.

My Wide receivers and tight ends underperformed last week. Randy Moss did not score as much as expected, and Andre Johnson played about as expected. and Javon Walker or Darrel Jackson played (I have since cut both Walker and Jackson).

Next week I have to decide whether to play Tony Romo, who despite being a great QB does not play well against Philadelphia, or play Chad Pennington, who had a better week last week than Romo.

I also have to decide between playing the higher rated Kellen Winslow, or the lower rated but statistically better Dante Rosario at tight end.

What? Who was pick up by the Colts? My server blocks this Adobe business. Little help?

Wow, he's kind of like Shawn Alexander, except he runs fast.

I picked the Seahawks to win on that football application on Facebook. The 49ers have been lousy for years.

I was 10-6 last week. Go Giants!

Post script, I am still a Seahawks fan and will root for them every week, but as a manager of a Fantasy Football Team, a defense scores points by limiting yardage and points, sacks, interceptions, fumble recoveries, safeties, and blocked kicks. Last week Arizona's defense scored 18 points. Wisepunk's Pittsburgh scored 12. Seattle's defense scored 2.

@7 Justin Forsett.

May I just say, right now, that I am terrified of elswinger and the Stoners. I chose some of my players based on whether or not they'd ever been arrested and if they weren't dating celebs. Obviously I need to work on my strategy if I'm going to stand a chance in this league.

@8 - He also runs upfield instead of towards the sideline.

@6 - Thank you for releasing the Seahawks D. I think they are still an elite unit (and are projected to score 5 points better than my old defense, Jacksonville). They got screwed by the Special Teams against Buffalo, and will definitely make something positive happen at Qwest.

As for the Taints, it was a slow start. I've got a receiving corps full of troublemakers (Brandon Marshall suspended for week 1, and Steve Smith suspended for weeks 1&2). But, the season is long, they are my starters, and I'm optimistic moving forward.

sorry I haven't gotten in on this yet, I dislocated my knee last night and I have been wacked out on vicodin all day.

What can I say? I have all the talent and nobody performed. Oh well it is week one and in my other league I won 111-34. It all works out in the end.
