A friend of mine refers to her as "Old Disaster Area Cunt" He's a community organize, for real, so he took that shit personally. He also says, "If only the cancer had killed Guilliani."

What's the matter with It Girl? For that matter, what's the problem with "an enabling wife"?

Fine. Then call her a festering asshole. Or a fistula in the body politic. Or a blood soaked gangrenous sucking chest wound. But for fucks sake stop complaining and call her something.

Please, liberal writers: stop writing about Sarah Palin at all. She's a distraction from that other guy who's running for president on the Republican ticket.

Go ECB - can we agree the albatross has new life as neck wear for Obama from his potty mouthed blogger supporters... Erica is right .. and most of you are sexist pigs to boot

FLASH ... Palin's last child was fathered by a moose, her pregnant daughter fucks bears. Spread the word.

Please, liberal writers, stop giving John McCain ammunition to paint Sarah Palin as a victim of sexist attacks.

Fucking seriously.

OMG, Erica, check it out -- we're totally in agreement about something having to do with feminism.

Trippy, huh?

ECB - Generally, I did not agree with your posts regarding Hillary Clinton's treatment, which, for the most part, I felt was respectful throughout the primary.

The attacks on Palin, however, are over the top, and I agree with you 100%.

I admit, maybe this is because the attacks on Hillary came from the Fox News's of this world (which I do not read or watch), and the attacks on Palin are coming from publications, such as The Stranger, which I do read. And, perhaps I expect these attacks from Fox News, and I don't expect them from a progressive news source, because they should be, you know, progressive.

It is fascinating to read the daily vitriol about Palin, even though it is definitely hurting Obama. I wonder how she would be treated if she were the same politician, but 50 lbs heavier or 20 years older?

But I thought she was a woman. Should we start calling her a dick? A mother fucker?

If we can make fun of Bush for parading around in his make-believe macho flight suit, we can make fun of Palin for the beauty queen vapid twat, I mean cock, that she is.

didn't you already post about this? And don't we still not give a fuck?

Sometimes I'm embarassed to be a guy. I just can't cope with all the ego. All that effort to be bigger, tougher, better than all the other guys. Its draining.

Maybe this makes me a bad woman, but I don't really feel the need to defend women who actively embrace these old stereotypical gender roles. I'm just end up disrespecting myself by doing so.

Oh, but you are right. Insulting her isn't particularly helpful from a political perspective.

ECB is absoluetly right.

Agreed.

The power of the Palin--and the reason she's on the ticket--has everything to do with keeping everyone, Right-Center-Left, paying attention to her instead of what a crappy candidate McCain is. The old magicians's trick: "look over HERE."

Let's not aid and abet.

erica, i agree with you wholeheartedly, and i think you should post something like this EVERY FUCKING DAY if you feel it's necessary (and it will be). this whole election is a racist sexist mess and it makes me sick to be a citizen of the US.

Sarah who?

I concur. Her sex has nothing to do with what's wrong with her. But Republicans - who can play the public's uniformed resentment like Jimi on a Stratocaster - know how to make this the primary issue. It's a trap for Democrats who can be too easily painted as sexists, elitists, etc. Let's talk about her actions as governor, her religious beliefs, and what the outcome of her policies would be on this country. That should be enough to scare the shit out of most people, no?

I totally agree.

But on the other hand, at rehearsal the other day, I dropped the "Caribou Barbie" nickname and just killed one of the guys who hadn't heard it yet.

He went one better - it's the new improved Caribou Barbie with NRA grip!

OK, back to more substantive matters, I like the notion of pushing her to fess up about her status as a young earth creationist. I think that a lot of low-information suburban voters who may trend conservative but who aren't right-wing nutjobs will have a hard time letting anyone who believes the earth is only 6000 years old near the button.
