Whitey Has Left the Building

posted by on September 4 at 21:25 PM

Weirdly, suddenly, the population of the floor just changed—for the first time in four days, black folks and brown folks outnumber the white folks.

They’re cleaning up the mess:

Bailo,
Your posts are like the goose crap I have to step over on my way through the park. You're actually boasting about the East Hill? When I was a kid and my grandparents lived there, it was houses scattered amid farmland. Today, it is stripmalls with check-cashing places, paint-peeling on houses with bars on the windows, and cars up on blocks. Utterly, the armpit of King County.

Kent is not a bad place to be, as long as you never run into that Bailo cunt.

Hm, middle-class people of color cleaning up the mess left by the rich white folks; sounds like a perfect metaphor for the Obama campaign.

A picture that is truly worth a thousand words.....

Right-O, Bailo. Would you venture a guess as to how many of members of Kent's minority communities actually vote Republican? My guess is that it's in the high 20's to low 30's at best.

You know, like your IQ.

Is it possible that these people applied for those employment positions ? And then accepted the job offer. Is this a union position. What pay and benefits package are they receiving ?

8 - As usual, you're missing the point.

@8 to answer you: Yes they apply, stadium crew jobs are not union, pay is minium wage, benefits package -> they work, they get a check. Have you never worked a service job?

That's cute, Comte, that you think those poor folks are anywhere near middle class. They're lucky to be making anywhere close to $26K in a year, let alone $30K. Shit, this is probably an hourly odd job between jobs for them, to make enough to eat. People don't get jobs picking up rich people's trash because they've got the mortgage paid on a $300K house and they're just looking for extra spending money.

@10

So the stadium cleaners in Denver only received minimum wage ? I'm sure as soon as Al Franken becomes Senator of Minnesota he will see to it that stadium cleaners be given a pay raise.

Papillon

Your responses are irrelevant to the discussion because you do not understand the original topic.

Maybe someone with more patience than me will explain it to you. Then, if you still feel that you have something to say, feel free.

Otherwise, quit wasting everyone's time.

The Twin Cities has a huge east African immigrant population. The downtown Minny Hilton I stayed at a few years ago had an almost entirely female east African cleaning crew, and most of the cabs were driven by their brothers or husbands.
Something tells me that these folks, if they have a vote, will not be giving it to the GOP.

Fortunately for the cleaners, the worst of the mess departed of its own volition.
