Where Is the “What Is Sarah Palin Afraid Of?” Ad?

posted by on September 24 at 11:26 AM

OK, so Obama is now spending more than ever on TV ads—why isn’t he making better ones? Or (if he can’t make ads against Sarah Palin because that will drag him down or whatever) why isn’t some other group making better ones for him? MoveOn? What are you doing? Other than emailing people asking them to buy T-shirts? The latest ads from the Obama camp are milquetoasty montages of him smiling and walking with guys in hardhats and stuff. Meanwhile, Sarah Palin is so unqualified for president, so unable to hold her own, that she’s being walled off from reporters. She gave a gaffe-ridden interview to Charles Gibson, and an interview to right-wing ideologue, and that’s it. Where is the the ad that says, in a confident voiceover, “It’s been almost a month since Sarah Palin was chosen to be a heartbeat away from the presidency. She has only taken questions from one member of the mainstream press, and a lot of the stuff she said was uninformed or untrue.” Quick cut montage of the Bush Doctrine question, the “thanks but no thanks” lie, etc. More voiceover: “Her campaign is afraid of something. They’re afraid America is going to discover just how unqualified she is. If she can’t handle question from CNN or NBC or the Washington Post, how is she going to be able to deal with these guys?” And then flash photos of Putin, Ahmadinejad, bin Laden, etc.

Is no one working on an ad like this?

I think the media is taking care of it for him. You don't want to look mean.

Michelle Cottle had a great article on this from way back:

Because the Democrats apparently like to get their asses kicked by the GOP.

Frankly, I am more than willing to say that John McCain touched me in my privates when I was 4 years old. Anything to help the party.

You deal with Ahmadinejad by asking him the name of his kid(s). Duh.

Anyhow, here's a quote from today's interview she did:

Katie Couric: "If this doesn't pass, do you think there's a risk of another Great Depression?"
Sarah Palin: "Unfortunately, that is the road that America may find itself on."

Great Depression here we come!

People outside of the media don't give a shit whether someone talks to the media.

There's still several weeks to go; I'm sure they're just pacing themselves.

First off, I'd like to thank Webmaster

(please hold on a second there off topic notetakers..)

Stranger...

{ssshhhh be very very quiet...

the senate may or may not be in session...}

for loading up the September 11th 2008

Eli Sanders Anxiety PILL Disorder page to remind me at how nice it is to have something to laugh about on a sunny park bench down by the lake when it {the sun} is going down...

There were birds in the air and pretty women in a research vessal near bye,

and as I read that aloud the day it came out I completely forgot the horror of the anniversary for a moment....

until of course I got to the part that was a little too close to home in my emotionally psyched out and terminally

( think about security in another states airport for a moment...

and then realize that they do security tests all the time.....)

the sky was overcast and I was suprised at the lack of snow on the mountains then being it was THE STATE OF ALASKA....

and I imagined like most people who think ALASKA is IMPENETRABLE to Change, and by that I mean...

it use to be we had the bluest skies here in Seattle and what happened to all the snow in Alaska????

So what is Sara Palin Nervous about???

How about meeting and getting her picture taken with Henry Kissenger one day and Warren Buffet on the front page of the Wall Street Journal the next,

and the whole world economy waiting for America to stop the collapse of the world finance markets...

all in the same week and

(today Warren is on the front of it investing 5 BILLION...)

and that doesn't get announced every day and well...

the list goes on and on and on and who do you think they are going to hold accountable IF... and mind you that's a big if...

Ms. Palin comes out looking like

{please excuse me rock and roll world this is serious stuff here...)

our Mayor of Seattle Greg Nickles title of

Mayor of Simpleton {XTC SONG}

and it doesn't translate to her state like
ARNOLD SWARZENNEGGER the W'dub'unator did

and it made him a larger than life ICON for a season ....

and all the crowd does is cheer and jeer and she has to read

ELI SANDERS take an ANXIETY PILL STRESS TEST JUST TO GET THE RIGHT PILL FROM HER DOCTOR....

who may be sent down from his life long position and called before a SENATE

hearing along with

SENATOR ORRIN HATCH for Ted Steven's trial

and the story never stops until BONO gets MY ransom joke and I am banished from Rock and Roll hope forever?????

....and then all it ever does is move the story around from one book deal to the next AND SHE DOESN"T GET A BOOK DEAL???

That's what I think SHE and SENATOR JOE BIDEN ARE WORRYING ABOUT!!!!

I don't think Obama needs to waste ad dollars on this.

(1) The press is starting to do a good job eviscerating her on their own. They were slow on the uptake, but the criticism is starting to get biting by most press not completely beholden to the conservatives.

(2) Obama needs to stay relatively positive, personally. His "message of hope" is a positive one, and if he goes negative, it contradicts his own message and persona. Plus, he has to avoid looking like the scary angry black man. As a practical matter, it will have to fall to surrogates to go negative. He really can't do it himself.

Sarah Palin is John McCain's retarded child. If Obama were to acknowledge her, it would be him being demeaning to a retarded person.

Let the 527's do the dirty work.

Here is a good example of the press doing it for him.

I haven't seen ANY Obama ads. Just Dino Rossi ads (and a few against Rossi).

That was really Ben Kingsley who sat down with Sarah Palin for her UN photo op on Tuesday:

http://www.iht.com/articles/2008/09/24/america/palin.php

Karzai refused to meet with her, but Sir Ben was in town and agreed to do the gig on short notice for his usual appearance fee. No wonder the McCain campaign didn't want any "editorial" people in there with the cameraman.
