When Will It End?

posted by on September 15 at 16:08 PM

Seahawks receiver Logan Payne is finished for the season after tearing his MCL in the first two minutes of Sunday’s game against the 49ers.

But wait, there’s more bad news:

Seneca Wallace, the Seahawks backup quarterback who was going to play receiver on Sunday, suffered a strained calf muscle. He is expected to miss three to four weeks.

The only other injury coming out of Sunday’s overtime loss to San Francisco was cornerback Kelly Jennings, who suffered a broken rib that required an injection at halftime. Jennings finished the game. He will not practice much this week, but is expected to play next Sunday when the Seahawks play the Rams in the third game of the season.

Make your predictions: Who will be the next ‘Hawk to fall victim to the Curse of the Retiring Walrus?

Either Matt Hasselbeck (nursing a sore back) or Lofa Tatupu (who, I believe, needs his knee drained after most games).

Welcome back to mediocrity (at best).

THE WALRUS

There can only be one Walrus, and he goes by the name of Craig Stadler.

Please make a note of it.

maybe brian russell will twist his knee after jumping on to a pile after a play is already over. he most likely won't while jogging 15-20 yards away from any deep ball thrown the D's way.

but we can hope.

I think my 61-year-old mother is in better physical condition than these guys. Nobody gets hurt this much unless they're not in the right condition to play.

Oh my fucking god, I know. What the fuck is he doing out there? We already have enough trouble with Jennings blowing coverage and Truf's broken hand!

I wasted a beautiful afternoon watching that game at local bar and then it went into overtime. The tequila when it ended shots made it all better.

Maybe there's something fundamentally wrong with a "sport" where players are permanently injured in every game, have to receive injections to carry on, are cut from the team if they don't play with concussions and broken bones, and where 100% of the players retire with a disability? Do you people get off on this violence?

Julius Jones is next because I'm about to move him off the bench and onto the roster for the Tight Ends.

This is some goddamn horseshit. After the Sonics debacle, then the M's, and SBXL, we deserve a friggin winning team. Maybe everyone else needs one of those fancy magical jesus necklace that Hasselbeck wears http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/business/345651_phiten02.html

Oh, yeah I couldn't give a damn about the Broncos or Chargers, but that call was BS.

This is crap man. After the Sonics debacle, M's, and SBXL, we are deserved of a goddamn winning team (yeah, I know- but besides the Storm or whatever the hell that soccer team is). Maybe all the players need to wear Matt's Super Special Jesus Necklace:http: //seattlepi.nwsource.com/business/345651_phiten02.html

Oh yeah, I couldn't give a crap about Denver or SanD, but that call was BS.
