What if, one outlet decided to do that? Just 1. No actual stories about McCain/Palin. What if that was copied and two then, three decided to follow suit? Would McCain/Palin simply not exist? Hardly, the minute Palin/McCain decided to do a sit-down with a non Fox news person, everyother media outlet would be on them like flies on crap. Good idea though.

Maybe MSM can report about the closed door meeting taking place and how they were expressly prohibited by McC-alin from attending.

The McCain campaign is attempting to "run out the clock". Thirty percent of voters begin voting by mail this week without any real knowledge of Sarah Palin other than her celebrity status.

Points:

She has lied and continues to lie about the Bridge to Nowhere.
She has lied about taking earmarks as Mayor of Wassila.
She has lied about agreeing to cooiperate with the troopergate investigation.
She lied about her teleprompter malfunctioning during her acceptance speech.
And she lied about the most simple thing - about accepting the nomination from John McCain - with 2 versions: one where she accepted immediately because she is wired not to blink and a second explanation where she polled her family.

She has not been subjected to meeting with the press other than People Magazine, ABCs Charles Gibson and Fox's Sean Hannity's advertorial interview with no hard questions.

The press does not owe her any deference. They owe it to the American people to make sure that she is subjected to much more rigorous vetting than the McCain campaign performed.

They need this information before they vote!

I can’t understand how so few people have made such an impact on this election, it stands to reason that the media is truly that liberally biased … but what I really want to know is that when this election is over and the media realizes how far from mainstream American political philosophy they stand will they stop trying to brainwash the public? Because, and please remember where you heard it first… it isn’t going to be close, not even a little bit, McCain/Palin are going to win by a landslide. That is not the outcome that I am hoping for, but it is the reality of our situation, the media has force-placed Barack Obama into this race and left behind any real contest to be fought out over the issues. America will not vote for this man, he does not represent their ideals or philosophies, Hillary would have won handily, consequently not the outcome I was hoping for either. Someday when these two useless parties, being used as bases of operations for lobbyists and speech writers, are finally overthrown I wonder will we let the idiots whom have left us with nothing better to watch on television than reality TV pick our system of government for the next 250 years, or will we stand up for ourselves and demand that our way of life be represented fairly and legitimately by those other than stock brokers and idiot celebrities who have nothing better to do on election years than criticize the one candidate whom has probably led the closest example of a common life to have been brought into the political arena since Andrew Jackson… that by the way is why it will not be close, as we sit around clinging to our guns and religion we have the smallest flicker of hope that in some small way SHE will honor us with representation rather than the obscure glance from her crystal tower… the cool thing is that I don’t even have to agree with her on the issues I can just recognize that she is not the drug addled super-rich celebrity pointing fingers and droning on about how much better life would be if we all just got along, but she also isn’t the high-hat aristocratic crook looking down over her fiefdom for a poll that will show her what to say next, son of the last 30 year senator. She’s not the best answer, not by far, but she is a step in the right direction… HERE’S TO THE REVOLUTION, GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

I'm amazed at the American people. It's not Palin's fault...she's a nincompoop who's trying to get away with whatever she can. If she answers questions incorrectly or incomprehensively, so be it. It's hard to believe that the great American public can be bamboozled to believe that this hockey-mom would be an appropriate vp or God forbid, president. Obama and Biden may have some negatives but I can't believe that the citizens of this country are so stupid to allow a McCain-Palin ticket to happen! It's really frightening.

Hmmm. The thought is lovely, but then there's the thought that the advertising dollars play in determining programming. And we know most of the heavy advertisers are not exactly among the liberal elements and don't really care about fairness and journalistic ethics. It is so sad that we can't have real journalism, rather than people who seem to be reading scripted monologues. I for one would LOVE for the press to have more say in what they do/do not cover and frankly think the McCain Campaign needs a little spanking. They never seem to really answer the questions!

The problem is that there has not been real journalism since long before the second Nixon administration.

Ever since Woodward and Bernstein, so-called journalists dropped any idea of finding and reporting news and concentrated on bringing down the president ... but only if the president is republican.

If the media stops covering the "cocky wacko" and Mr."Imbombieda". where will we get the comic relief. It's plain that the liberal press is secretly working for Them- if we don't see them we might not notice what idiots they really are.

I don't see what all the fuss is about. Palin is a ZERO. It doesn't matter how much media coverage she gets. She is the Britney Spears of Politics, with all apologies to Britney.

I used to like McCain. It is kind of sad to see how much of his record he has squandered to appeal to the fringe.

I would like to see the days politicians, like Lincoln, had to get out on a stump and talk to the voters. I could CARE LESS whether the media covers Sara Palin. It has been a long time since we could believe anything they say anyway. WHO CARES??????
