McCain Spokesman Doesn’t Know What Sarah Palin’s Foreign Policy Qualifications Are

Has this already been on Slog? There’s been so much on Sarah “Gift That Keeps on Giving” Palin that it’s hard to remember what I’ve watched where. Here’s McCain’s spokesperson stumbling last night on CNN trying to think of one thing—just one thing!—that qualifies Sarah Palin to be commander in chief. It’s so, so satisfying.

According to TPM:

After Campbell Brown’s interview with McCain’s spokesman Tucker Bounds last night, McCain is pulling out of an interview tonight with Larry King.

Everytime he does that little thing with his mouth, a little more shit is seeping out his ass. Guaranteed.

Also, Campbell Brown used to kinda bug me but now I think I might love her.

It's all about the little pained look she wears through the entire interview.

Interesting, if you listen to Tucker, Governor Palin had way more influence strategic issues than Senator McCain.
The Republicans cut themselves both ways. If Palin has a much experience as Obabma and they consider him unqualified than so is she. If she has real executive command experience than McCain is weaker for lacking it.
I hope Tucker gets way more air time.

This is pretty awesome... The Alaska National Guard? That's the best they can come up with? Fabulous.

Where can I get training on how to keep talking like no one is asking me anything? This seems to be an essential Republican skill.

The Governor has very little to do with the National Guard on international issues. They don't even brief her. She's in charge of the guy who's in charge of the guy who buys the toilet paper.

Tucker Bounds looked like a 12-year-old who hadn't done his homework. It was beautiful to watch.

Clearly Campbell went out on a limb there -- she doesn't normally do that -- and I only hope that she won't be punished by CNN for it. I haven't seen a CNN journalist act like a real journalist in a long time, and this was incredibly refreshing. None of her questions was in any way unfair to Tucker -- his inability to answer them is indicative of the sheer ridiculousness of the Palin pick.
