Obviously they didn't give a lick about the displaced people in NOLA.

1. The nonrecognition the race is dead even continues; it's obviously more fun to poke fun at Palin, write meaningless posts about protestors who have no convention to protest, and in general, to keep cheerleading the Obama campaign withotu suggesting one damn thing to (a) ensure we win or (b) ensure we win big as we need to do to actually enact things.

2. The notion that blue state folks should go to red states to volunteer and instead should get a second job and donate the proceeds:

-why sure, but how many will do so?
-if they would go to red states and sit in the back room and sort lists and make phone calls and not wear orange hats believe me there is a ton of actual fucking hands on WORK to do to get Obama elected.

But hey if Sloggers want to be lazy and just shoot meaningless pot shots at the GOP from the comfort of their computer terminals in Seattle, that's your right. This is the traiditonal role of the yong and the hip: protest. Bitch. Moan. Sneer about the damn electorate not already being on your side. But actual work? Who needs it? Come up with a lame reason not to do it and a false alternative like anyone is actually going to get a second job, ha ha ha .

3. Attitude towards unity inside the Democratic ranks is improving at the top level of Obama's campaign. NYT, Healy today:

“She has been extraordinarily generous and cooperative,” Mr. Obama’s chief strategist, David Axelrod, said of Mrs. Clinton. ...."Hillary is a huge asset for us, and we want her out there.”

Quite a bit differrent from the stupid, interneince, destructive attitude of the Sloggers who (a) criticized HRC for welcoming Palin to the race, then (b) totally ignored the fact that OBama did the same thing and (c) Gregoire did the same thing too.

Remember folks: WHAT'S REALLY IMPORTANT is to continue to blast HRC -- to criticize for false charges of treason, to make jokes about dynamite up her vagina, etc.

WHAT'S LESS IMPORTANT is to win the fucking election.

4. Check out the polls at realclear politics...no toss up view...Obama is "ahead" by 0.3 points in NH...without that huge, huge lead, McCAIN WINS THE ELECTION.

When are you guys going to talk about the fact that this is how it is and it's not changed for about four weeks?

So where do you get off hitting at HRC, spending time worrying about protestors in St. Paul, or making fun of Palin, who took out a corrupt GOP party leader, a corrupt governor and got more money from the oil companies for the citizens of Seattle?

You guys are in denial. Like lemmings. The only argument you ahve is "well Obama's going to have greater turn out than the polls show" and this is (a) DISPROVEN in the primaries where he LOST over andover again to HRC in the final phase, (b) represents HOPE instead of a PLAN, (c) gee, I hope it's true, but why eke it out when we should be winning in a huge way?

Y'all have basically given up. Let other people int he red states do all the work, we don't have to do anything but sit on our asses and jeer at Palin, cheer at Obama, and sneer at HRC and the swing voters.

Fucking brilliant plan. Just awesome. Keep it up.

I actually heard someone on MSNBC say that after Obama's big speech "it's like we're on the one yard line." WTF?

Gulp, gulp, gulp.

@1: Obviously they didn't give a lick about the displaced people in NOLA.

After the piss-poor reaction of the President after 9/11 and Katrina, that seems like hollow criticism.

And heck, if this weren't during the convention, Republicans really wouldn't give a shit about this.

@3: Y'all have basically given up. Let other people int he red states do all the work, we don't have to do anything but sit on our asses and jeer at Palin, cheer at Obama, and sneer at HRC and the swing voters.

Sorry, Charlie.

You're drawing conclusions based on a blog. Seriously. A blog. Get off your fucking high horse. None of this here means anything. It's political gossip and parlor games.

Where you are right, though, is that Democrats need to step it up. This race isn't over.

Media Benjamin is the woman holding the bullhorn in the first picture. She's one of the "Code Pink" organizers. She's also a co-founder of Global Exchange, taking people on "Reality Tours" to parts of the world that USA folks don't usually see like Pakistan, Cuba, southern India, etc.
