The Morning News

posted by on September 15 at 7:00 AM

Bank bankruptcy: Lehman Brothers files for Chapter 11, Merrill Lynch is sold for a (relative) song, AIG teeters, and the experts don’t know what’s next.

Wonders about WaMu: Is the Seattle-based bank, the nation’s sixth-largest, set to fail too?

What does it all mean for the campaigns? Some guesses.

Not worried: A McCain adviser, who actually wrote an Op-Ed in The Washington Post this weekend titled: “Quit Doling Out That Bad-Economy Line.”

Not bankrupt: Barack Obama, who raked in a record $66 million in August.

Palintology: Big investigative stories about Sarah Palin that you might have missed over the weekend, here and here.

Ike aid: On the way, but not soon enough for local officials.

David Foster Wallace: A political blog tribute.

And in case you missed this on Saturday:

The Palin cronyism is the most important revelation... Yeah, like Bush's cabinet, we get failed policy and failed leadership when you hire your friends instead of qualified experts. I wish the public at large cared more

Here is PC attempting" to be "down" with her Negro brothas. I won't catalog all the reasons why she has once again made a fool of herself. Suffice it to say, wrong again.

Weird to see PC's posts (@4) back when she was on her meds without the racing thoughts and the pages of text

Ah! It is refreshing to know that the Bush legacy will continue with Palin.

Elenchus besides the fact that you are wrong again (your last claim that PC had incorrectly predicted WA at 67% like MN when in fact it off by 1% point was completely wrong) why are you posting those stupid pee chee posts? Are you suffering from postpartum depression?

Currently electoral-vote.com has WA as a barely democrat state - so maybe PC is wrong now to promote going out of state - O could lose here.

None of the news sites have picked it up, but there was a fight on Friday night outside Flowers. Two men were injured and taken to the hospital; the two who beat them drove away before police arrived.

Having Tina Fey play Palin is like letting Paul Newman play McCain. Her impression is still fantastic - better than Palin's.
