The Dark Mac Returns

Oh, man is this nerdy and, simultaneously, awesome. Matt Shepherd has taken a bunch of pictures of John McCain and thrown a bunch of captions from Frank Miller’s 1986 Batman comic book The Dark Knight Returns on top. The juxtaposition is hilarious, if you ever read comics as a kid. Here’s a “panel.”

If you don’t get it, you should immediately forget about it: you’ll never understand.

SGN used that pic with a red prohibit/anti
overlay about two months ago on the front page. I think it is the real Mc Cain and he will loose it at some time soon in public on camera. All his close in associates say he has a horrible temper and it emerges often. When the outburst happens,
maybe he will call Palin an obscene name as the frosting, so to speak.

Can't wait.

No, what they should do is go buy a copy of The Dark Knight Returns. It's one of the greatest graphic novels of all time and should be read by everyone at least once.

As an Obama supporter who had "The Absolute Dark Knight" on her wedding registry (and received it!)...I think I just came.

(NerdNote: The latter 50% of Absolute Dark Knight should be avoided like the goddamn plague. "Dark Knight Strikes Again" is one of those things I wish I could blame solely on 9/11, but sadly I'm pretty sure it's just Miller losing his goddamn mind.)

JMC does look rather like The Penguin in that picture.

Sort of reminds me of an old picture book my dad owned years ago entitled, "Who's In Charge Here?"; basically a series of candid, somewhat unflattering photos of politicos with amusing cartoon bubbles inserted.
