The local press should be asking why the SPD is cooperating with the Feds in this investigation. Local law enforcement are bound by ordinance (I-75) to make cannabis offenses the lowest law enforcement priority. Clearly there are smarter ways to allocate scarce law enforcement resources.
Dan, if you become the Kim Jong-Il of America, i will gladly suck your dick.
Duh...he works for the PI. What? You expect professionalism?
Yeah, nothing like the pros at the Stranger. Hey, how many writers you have over their writing under fake names?
Ahem.
Keep up the good work though Dan. I agree with you in principle, but your tactic lacks, well ...tact.
I hate to admit this, but they must be doing something right, 'cause it has been bone dry here in The Lou.
I know that is most likely correlation, but still.
Police, like fire fighters and soldiers, place themselves in harms way as a matter of carrying out their daily routine. Unlike most workers, police embody the visceral image of the hero who rushes toward danger when most others are fleeing. They go to work when individuals, the social system and/or its inanimate physical parts appear to be intrinsically threatened. Broadly, they defend what can no longer defend itself, becoming a thin blue line between order and encroaching chaos. Given, therefore, that the police are depended on to defend against the absence of order, I think most people, including reporters and editors, feel a need to lend credence to police viewpoints by not seeking opposing viewpoints, thereby nurturing and sustaining the psychic fortitude we rely on in them which is necessary to rebuild the fraying edges of our threatened world. In a sense, to be improperly critical of police is to undermine our own well being.
All of us, Jeff.
The Stupid ... of the Day campaign sure is paying dividends!
The PI updated the article with a quote from NORML, this is starting to work
BEHOLD THE MIGHT OF SLOG.
I've seen more graffiti in the past week.
WHERE WERE THE COPS?
Graffiti is more important than MJ - it's the LAW!
