You know...considering that the fundies also prayed for rain during Obama's speech and then there was a tropical storm during the Republican convention opening...let's just say I'm thinking it might not be the best time to smugly assume that God loves you the best and demand that he punish or destroy people standing in the way of what you think you're entitled to. I wouldn't risk it, anyway.

It will be interesting to see if Sarah starts to overpower John, and how John will take that. It might even make for one of John's famous temper tantrums.

The Christianist has changed his site, but he really did say that McCain should die so that Sarah can take over. In a Jesusy way, of course.

She's given one speech so far.

Huh?

You meant "one nationally televised speech" I think.

Praying for the death of their supposed political enemies. How very pro-life of them.
What worries me is what these fuckers will do when they lose the election.

You can't just make stuff up? We're talking about the Republicans here. Anyone else remember the nonexistent weapons of mass destruction? The nonexistent yellowcake? Making stuff up is what they do.

Has you thought to notify the Secret Service to the threat against a President Candidate?

I remember a blogger a couple years ago meriting a visit from the SS for asking people to pray to God to kill Bush even though it was clearly a joke.

This post is not a joke.

Extremely popular among young people!? What is this idiot smoking? The only young people Palin will be popular with are hardcore Christians. The rest of us are smarter than that and are supporting Obama.

And then there's the idiocy over whether Barack is "one of us". He doesn't HAVE to be one of us- he just has to do right by us. He is serious about governing and cares about doing it well. He is going to be a REAL president, unlike Bush who doesn't really care, and Palin underlines the "more of the same" theme better than anything else I could think of.

That whole section after the jump should probably be changed to block-quote...

sorry east coaster ...I don't mean to alarm you, but the difference between the east coast and MOST of the country ... is that likability takes presidence of competance.

Which is why Hillary, did NOT win the nomination. Yes, Obama is more than qualified and competent to do the job, but Hillary is just not likable.

Intresting decision to once again fail to report Gallup daily tracking, when it's not good news.

The 8 point lead is down to 2 points.

I sincerely doubt Wayne Campbell would say Palin is a babe, most especially since the guy who played and created the character has requested the McCain camp not illegally use his image in advertisements.

Oh PC, stop trying to be such a crusader for truth. It's not like Slog is the only thing people can access from their computer. There's other websites where you can get news about the election, you know.
