i almost exclusively read conservative political blogs, but i had to tune them out after the sarah palin pick was announced. i just don't have the strength anymore. now it's all huffpo, all the time, even though i usually hate that blog. i guess i need to be around my kind of people until this whole mess is over. i need to be able to sleep at night.

So by "update all the time" and "more than SLOG", you mean beyond 10AM-6PM Monday through Friday?

It's just too bad that the conservatives always leave such a goddamned mess before the voters wake up. Then the Dem's spend all their time cleaning it up. This time they should be making a bailout contingent upon health care fixes.

Paul reads the Corner so we don't have to! Thanks Paul, it is good to get a summary of what the right is doing/thinking from time to time, without having to actually read the depressing garbage. Perspective is a good thing. If ones spends all ones time on HuffPo or Slog, one is really blindsided when yet another election goes to the GOP. Happened before, could happen again. We're a very divided country...

I did a quick little crawl around the conservative block of the internet last night after watching-then-gasping-then-hiding my eyes-then-watching again clips of the Palin interview.

Nothing. Not a word.

I tried doing the same thing with RedState until I found this in their posting rules:

The purpose of this site is promote conservative and Republican ideals.

Since it's difficult to get an emotional state from an advertisement, I stopped. I might give the Corner a shot.

Does anyone here read gaypatriot or Independent Gay Forum? Those two sites might be the funniest on the internet. I am almost convinced that they are both extremely well-written satire.

I can't read GayPatriot - I can in most cases handle RedState and I can handle No Quarter (which is a republican McCain shill blog), but GayPatriot just hurts too damn much.

This for the "Credulous Hack of the Day Award" Peter Robinson's column in Forbes.

Reader's comment and response from "The Corner":

"When Sarah Met Katie [Peter Robinson]

From a reader, commenting, again, on my column for Forbes this week:

I desperately want Sarah Palin to continue to be an asset to the ticket. Having said that, I don't see how you can possibly publish the statement " In just under a week, she had mastered the interview format" with a date of September 26th. Did you not see the Couric interview? I would suggest that she has not only not mastered the format but is, in fact, regressing.

No, to be honest, I didn't see the Couric interview—I had to file the column before the interview aired. Do the emails in my inbox make me eager to watch the interview on YouTube? No they do not.
