re: The Wedding Party

This—the Bristol and Levi wedding registry—has to be a joke.

But then, this whole Palinightmare has to be a joke. Right? RIGHT?!?

(Regardless, I celebrate the “operation camo full bedskirt.”)

Kids.
Marriage.
Babies.
Weddings.

All the things that make Seattle's infantile adults go "eeewww". They break the illusion, that even though you listen to The End, you're still 37.

#1 -- 0r 47 -- approaching rapidly.

And it seems their politics will suffer during the coming on fast mid life crises as they begrudge a sweet Young Couple, Young People fucking drama.

Just plain old bio powered sperm and egg stuff - the age old bane of all high schoolers who are sexually active.

Almost all of our cheering squad was preg at grad. What is new?

Mom Palin might be winning silver but Mom Nature is always the full blown gold winner.

How 'bout a headboard gun rack?

Ok, that's pretty funny.

What's frightening to me is that I think my brother-in-law (who had two kids by two different women before my sister married him, BTW) would look at the stuff on the registry and fail to see why it's funny. I think he actually owns some of the flag crap.

Point being, this is a joke, but most of the country wouldn't get it. And that's bad, mmkay?

JCPenny's? no way
They would be registered at Cabela's http://www.cabelas.com/

(look at the home and cabin section)

"This whole Palinightmare is a nightmare," because she's doing a Clinton, that is, sucking all the oxygen out of the room ... oxygen that many liberals thought (and still think) is Hillary's by right. How DARE this--this--"Santorum-in-lipstick" come out of Alaska and take away what Hillary worked so hard for? Sorry folks .. it looks like Bubba Clinton's met his match when it comes to 'hustling up the cracker vote.' And they's a-plenty a' crackers out there ... *selects fresh straw to chew on; inserts thumbs in overalls*

It would be too much to hope for that they hold the reception in a mobile home park. Maybe a hockey rink would be good.

ECB linked to the blog which links to the wedding registry at the very end of this post four weeks ago.

Go apologize to her.

Four things John Bailo will never accomplish.

Hoax or not, every young couple should invest in a proper meat grinder.

Is slog going to be all about this wedding now?
Let's give the happy couple some privacy, it's not their fault.
Starting now I will be giving a weird glazed look to anyone who tries to pass me this meme.

unlike the brits, our national identity isn't defined by public interest surrounding political marriages between people of inferior intelligence.

ever occur to you that the guy is in the military? the camo diaper bag is probably for him. perhaps they have most of the things they need for their household and these are just things they would like also. it might seem "funny" to civilians - but to a veteran and active duty personnel, not so much.

When I get knocked up and married, that 2-in-1 air hockey and foosball table is totally going to be on my registry.
